This marked the end of the war between the Zhell and the Taung, many years before it was supposed to end in the original timeline.

The Zhell were a species indigenous to Notron that were hypothesized by historians to have been Humans. And as a small spoiler ... that is indeed true, but it is also false. Another thing I thought about was whether or not I should create an AI. The Explorer is already semi-sentient and given time, it could develop full sentience. So it won't be necessary to create an AI for the ship at least. When I create my planet, this might change though. I know nothing about artificial intelligence though, so that might take a long time. Well, that doesn't matter, I have a lot of time.
