I'm sorry you feel that way. Granted, the first few chapters were written back in 2016. Things were different 8 years ago. I am considering giving them a revamp to be more in-line with the recent chapters.
The way imagined it, Thorston's bomb could cause a death similar to the other Wolverine clones before X-23.
In my mind, the species can control the strength of their threads depending on the situation. Not every use needs a steel strength.
Cheshire yanked her arm free with a growl, the wall cracking under her strength. She charged again, her strikes becoming a blur. Spidermonkey parried and weaved, using his limbs to deflect and counter. A sharp kick to Cheshire's midsection sent her stumbling back. Seizing the moment, Spidermonkey spun a web, capturing her legs.

When I mention weaknesses, I mean things their physiology is inherently susceptible to. For example, Crowd Control methods can work on Batman, Flash, and Superman, but Superman is specifically weak to Kryptonite.
