I have no idea. Same reason why some high-profile academic people are idiots in everything but their own field, I guess. I don't remember why I wrote him that way, which is a small blessing in itself.

Then someone rang a bell and all the pirates started to gather around the table in the middle of the room. All except for Captain Roy Gorgo.

I mean, I dunno, it probably really doesn't.

Out of these twenty-five men, he was probably one of the five who could read. That gave him an advantage. Out of all these men, he was the only one who knew about Gorgo's double identity. Finally, he had a chance to drag his bastard brother through dirt to show who was the real man.

Magic toasters are a cool idea, I like them. Dragonskin is probably a very good material for handbags. I like several magitech tropes, but I don't know if there are many books about wizards literally smuggling stuff into a fantasy world. It felt like a funny idea and I wanted to read it, so I had to write it. I also like the main character. He's someone right on the borderline between heroic mentality and opportunism. I like the book as a whole. It's mine. It's something fun, and that's fun.

Author here. While I can't actually say anything perfectly objective about my own books except that I'm obviously right, I can say that it's a natural progression of my own voice and plotting methods. It's better than the last one, I mean. The core concept is the wish for unlimited wishes, a spellbook that enables you to create unlimited spells in a world where spellmaking is penalized heavily or impossible and casting spells is hard and dangerous. I think that's a neat goal, which is why I like my book. I also like the way I've cleaned up my style. Sometimes I do go on a tangent, but that's just the way it is. The main character may not sound sympathetic. However, I started to like Lieto, and I think you might like him, too.

me but unironically

It hurt even more because of the brotherly bond. Everything was broken now. Roy was 23, and Seb was 21, but they could have been lightyears apart. What had happened had torn them apart, and Roy had let those things do that to them.

this part of the story was based on a true story, just a regular morning in my own life

She sighed, apparently resigned to look like whatever she thought she looked like.

I'm brainstorming as hard as I can and these comments give me a lot of motivation to do it more. I will aim to, dunno, write something that more than 3 people will like. Which makes sense. Thank you.

No, he had to think about dogs to get his eyes tearing up again. He thought about how many dogs had been unjustly murdered by unfit owners. He thought about the ones that had been hunting with him, sharing moments of joy and horror alike, he thought about the nature of animals, so unlike humans, so honest, so uncomplicated, and that was where he broke down.

You pay for character development when you do it I guess? Either good or bad development

Naturally, after being inside such a disgusting place for so long, Nick had questioned his life choices.
