Must say that I agree with you when you say that slavers should suffer, but everything has a reason to exist in this story, even though some of them aren't the most pleasant things.

Maybe a bit of spoiler below so... The MC doesn't spare female enemies. Mostly, he doesn't have REAL companions, and you will get what I mean after getting to a certain part in the story. MC's level of ruthlessness depends on the stage of the story. However, I would say that he is balanced. He never goes 100% ruthless or 100% good and loyal. It depends on the situation. There is no Harem. Also, I should say that the story focuses on different characters. The MC is just one, but the narrative end up focusing on different ones at times and goes deep into them.
