Curious book. Curious to see if author would delete this. But here is a straightforward review. Great book from the beginning. Things get interesting but frankly things get too complicated. Blood essence isnt easy to get if you still wanna remain on the human side. Wasteful mc and basically a dog to the sIster. And frankly I think there is something wrong with the system. Blood essence should not be something that difficult to acquire. Why is there a difference between humans and monster blood? Is it a genetic thing? Cause then it would mean nothing because humans don’t really have special genes or blood. I think that would make things a bit simpler without him having to desperately forage for blood essence.
This is pretty stupid. As far as I can tell, he requires so much essence to just maintain himself. Just like before with the tiger, he is now burning his future food. Disappointed that he didn’t even try to convince Layla about this problem.

I appreciate and respect his decision. Especially since he saves them, its usually common to think that you saved the… hence you are responsible for them. This will set the foundation for trust and teams in terms of mutual benefit rather than cheap feelings of “pity” or “responsibility”
