I know complaining isn't good. But although we can't straight up go against capitalism, we can boycott certain brands. Plus there is a point where everything just turns into a vanity and I find it selfish to buy unnecessary luxuries rather than help someone. I'm not one to judge how people spend their money, but I personally find it better to help the world, and sometimes we can be stuck in our bubble and forget that people are in urgent need. I get there's a market for those luxuries and people make a living through those consumers, but again, sometimes we are just living in a bubble of comfort where not being able to study, not having something to eat, not having access to proper healthcare, or not having a place to live isn't even something we can imagine dealing with. It is fair to be compensated by your efforts though, but inequality is very real, many workers deserve more but they can't just quit since they need to survive. Not trying to complain, just slowly spreading the word because for example, in these novels, wealth and reputation is the ultimate happy ending. Most novels end up with the MC being crazy rich. Not that I care too much lol, it's entertaining to see them being lazy and getting rich. But sometimes we can forget about reality and the world's problems.

At this point, Ling Lan was still blissfully unaware that being the child of a well-off family could sometimes bring about even greater frustration and hardship. Of course, that is a story for another time, so we shall not talk about it for now.

Uh, I didn't say rich people are happier. I am very aware that money does not buy happiness. As Epictetus said "Wealth consists not in having great possessions, but in having few wants". BUUUUT, of course poorness comes with survival problems that can't be changed. Sure, maybe for example celebrities don't have as much privacy, and their mental health might be doing really poorly. Maybe some rich entrepreneurs have to deal with a lot of stress and responsibilities they didn't have to deal with when they were less affluent. Maybe some rich people in these novels have less freedom on choosing their partner. But you know, that is the trade off for living a wealthier lifestyle. Poor people can't trade anything for survival, it depends more on luck. Everyone has problems no matter how much money they have, but at least rich people don't have to deal with not having food/water, education or shelter (Unless they live in a dangerous area where money is useless and maybe running away from your wealth might be a better option so you don't get plotted against). If being rich comes with problems that are worse than being poor you might as well abandon that wealth. Of course there are always other variables like having a family that needs your income, but a middle class family can of course live well too. I don't understand what is the obsession of being crazy rich. Anyway if I'm very honest I just don't like rich people. People suffer while rich people throw a pity party about their rich person problems, I'm not saying they can't complain but come on... If its health concerns then fine, anyone can have those problems, but I'm talking about their rich person problems (i.e: complaining about taxes that affect the rich). I don't know what the problem the MC was talking about was bc I dropped this, but how bad can it be? Nothing a MC can't deal with. And for some reason MCs always prioritize wealth, I've never seen a MC in a CN LN that didn't have a wealthy ending, how communist, eh?

At this point, Ling Lan was still blissfully unaware that being the child of a well-off family could sometimes bring about even greater frustration and hardship. Of course, that is a story for another time, so we shall not talk about it for now.

why does your comment seem like propaganda? the torah isn't even that... feminist.

Therefore, women, who could not operate IN mecha, had been directly cast aside by the Federation. As those politicians would say, they could not waste taxpayers' money, right? And so this outright biased law which discriminated against women was officially ratified without facing any opposition from the general public.

Dammit, why did he have to show her his dick? Although his dick was so small that it could almost be ignored ... but it was still a dick, wasn't it? How could he do that to a pure and innocent maiden like her?

Losing to her own body's needs, Ling Lan felt that all hope was lost — there went her angelic baby image. Truth be told, she had really wanted to be an angelic baby, well-behaved and adorable, becoming the apple of her new parents' eyes. But it looks like that plan had gone up in smoke.

1 or 2 in a thousand is a lot though. If it was this world's population it'd still be millions of people.

[S] rank physical fitness was rare even among male infants, appearing at a rate of 1 or 2 in a thousand. Of course this wasn't the most extreme case, for Ling Lan's father, Ling Xiao, had been a gifted genius born with a physical fitness of [SS] rank, which occurred at a rate of 1 in several ten thousand. Ling Qin suspected that Ling Lan's good physical fitness must have been inherited from her father.

that's kinda dumb tho, it's not as if that were the only job out there. Not all men can become IN operators and there are other high level positions women could have.

Ling Xiao being alive isn't in the synopsis tho.

They had already thought it through — the moment Ling Lan was born, they would arrange for another baby girl to be raised alongside Ling Lan to be her loyal guard, who would also marry Ling Lan publicly once they were adults.

Truthfully, she could take no more bad news. A month after her husband Ling Xiao had left for battle, news had come saying that there had been an accident when the fleet he was leading had entered a death tunnel to outflank the enemy camp, and that headquarters had lost all contact with his fleet.

Lan Luofeng caressed her abdomen with a face full of worry. She was already 5 months into her pregnancy, but she had not felt any recent fetal movement from her baby. If it weren't for the fact that all the medical exams showed that her child was developing normally, she would surely have had a mental breakdown.
