I feel relieved to hear that. I never knew it would be this hard to create a character and his personality. So I was feeling conflicted if I am doing it right or wrong. and I am glad to hear that you are liking him.
Zarek felt kinda annoyed with the old man's tone. It felt like Zarek owed him something. He just said those words casually. More than that Zarek didn't want to get into any mess until he became more stronger. After all, Zarek himself is defenseless without Zerik. He himself doesn't have any power or background. Even though he is a disciple of the Regal Artificer Sect he could be said to be an outcast in the sect. He doesn't even have anyone close related. His parents were dead and he was taken in the Regal Artificer Sect because of his unique aura and high mental strength as a child who will later become a true disciple. But then because of Zarek failing their expectations he became only a burden, nothing more. He doesn't have anyone to protect him. So he has to be extra careful.

Well I feel like in most of the cultivation novels most character are kinda dumb and arrogant almost like they have just unplugged their brain. So I am at least try to keep most of the character in my novel human like. And all human are not dumb At least they are not dumb enough to see their own situation. I might add some arrogant char to spice up the story a bit in future. But don't have any plan for now cause its just the starting you know.
"Fine, we will do anything but let me take my companions to a doctor." The leader of the bandits agreed without much resistance. He knew they couldn't win anymore. All his companions were injured while he was placed with a dagger on his neck.

Technically yes. Life became a little hectic. My xm is also nxt month. So there won't be update till then. But I might start writing again in December if everything goes smoothly. Because I don't wanna drop the idea. If there ain't any update even after Dec you can remove it from ur library as it prolly means I completely dropped it.
