When Mal died the first time, did his previous victims come back to real life without any damages or memories from what happened? Was it like they were never in danger? No one was hurt or killed? Was it like the explosion never happened? Could time reset to before the calamities happened? How long does it take to reset time? When someone dies, the spells he or she cast, aren't effective anymore. Does that rule apply to Magical Murder and Mahem? While Gus and Chris distract Mal, someone else could go back in time to prevent Mal's rebirth via a huge Time - Turner. All manner of things can be prevented. If Mal never went to Hogwarts Castle...
