I mean they don't know how to increase their mastery in talent and they would have to kill monsters to obtain cores so they could observe it to increase their attributes to max. they would also have to look for specific monsters mutagens which isn't available in the island. Keep in mind that they just spend a day here in the island and were merely common humans like us before they were transmigrated. so that's explains it i guess.

There is no limit whatsoever to the amount of curse he can copy for now and what you said about copying everyone's curses ...well you will know when you read the later chaps.

the curse is not passive ....he will feel pain if he gets hurt but when he activates this curse the pain will be gone....and what you said also has a point. if his curse remains active all the time he won't be able to tell if he got injured or not. But hey remember this is someone's curse and not an skill and it can't be perfect and work like a skill.
'So, with this curse, I won't feel any pain from any injuries, but the injury itself will still remain. Interesting.'
