I mean, that's true. But this isn't The Darkness in full. It's a Dimension that gives similar powers; it isn't a sentient entity, however. And I know he gave humans souls. But he's far more well known for being chaotic and evil. The urges he gives his hosts are to do with mainly murder and destruction - Jackie didn't suddenly want to create things when he became the host for The Darkness, after all. It's an aspect of The Darkness, yeah, but it's not that big a part of it. Maybe when the MC has more control he can gain the creation aspects of The Darkness. But right now? No, he doesn't have them.

She's not the best teacher when it comes to resisting temptation. She literally fell for the temptation of the Dark Dimension's power. No, he'll eventually go to the Ancient One for training but it won't be before he gets a proper hold on his new power.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It's a Marvel/MCU fanfic, what did you expect? Besides, I could name, like, three or four Marvel fanfics off the top of my head where the MC is incredibly selfish and only ever looks out for himself. Go and give 'The Hammer Effect' by Reidrain a go if you haven't already.

Very supernatural.
My power was The Darkness. I could instinctively feel it. But I could also instinctively feel that I was drawing my power from somewhere, not from someone. The Darkness, the entity itself, wasn't in my mind and neither did it gift me these powers. I was pulling on a source of energy from what felt like a gateway in my heart.

Knull is The Void. Not The Darkness. I could see how they could be connected but not how I 'forgot' about that character lol.

No, he won't be able to respawn. He'll have an exceptionally good healing factor, however. Around Wolverine-level, at least.

He doesn't really need sorcerers training. He has a natural and unmatched connection to The Darkness because of his X-Gene and no amount of sorcerer training is suddenly gonna make him better at using his power to draw on that Dimension. What he needs is a group who have experience in using highly destructive powers and not falling to their temptation - he needs teachers, and the X-Men is filled with literal teachers. He doesn't need to know how to do magic. Yet.

No need to apologize, mate. But in all honesty, the Darkforce Dimension and the gifts it gives are completely different to The Darkness and what it gives. If there are infinite (or nigh-infinite) amount of Dimensions that exist and can be drawn on for power, there are countless Dimensions that represent Darkness/Shadows. It's not like there's only one Dimension per concept. The fact there are Dimensions like the Darkforce Dimension in the MCU/Marvel is the reason why I had The Darkness become a Dimension instead of an omnipotent/omnipresent entity in the first place. ...Besides, The Darkness is waaay more powerful than the Darkforce Dimension and whatever it can give it's user/host.

If an author doesn't think their story deserves five star, they have self-esteem issues. Literally every author wants five star ratings. I'm good with reviews that are below five stars but I at least want some legitimate criticism and reasoning behind why, outside of personal preference. ''#HEROICPROTAGONIST Really?'' isn't exactly the review of the year, is it?
