It's debated about how he was created. But the most commonly accepted answer is that he was created by the early shamans through a grand sacrifice of all their souls to create a 'new human' to stand against chaos.

However, it would seem that it was too difficult for him alone to create any Quantum-matter and he would need to ask the Great Counsel for help again. In fact, Slagar had been thinking up quite a few advances from his Immaterium portal project with the addition of Quantum-matter. He dreamed of a great set of tunnels and pathways in the Immaterium, which could be used to support and stabilize his portals reliably. If it worked, it could go on to be the greatest creation of their civilization, even surpassing the title technology of Gorvor.

I have not. But It looks good. I am currently reading: 'I don't want to be a tin can'

This level of power is an 'addition' of being able to influence further galaxies beyond the Milky Way. It is still contained within the Warp and is only of 'greater influence' compared to regular 'Alpha+'. This can affect multiple galaxies' worth of people but still hasn't made the final leap to a realm Beyond the Warp. This fluctuates and tends to depend on gaining a lot of 'influence' within the Warp.

The Warp gods are like a young Mephisto. Except the Marvel Multiverse is still in a 'Marvel Universe'. Mephisto only stays in one Universe because the food (souls) is high quality. Since the Warp messes with time, it can connect to parallel universes. So if they wanted to, they could reach across timelines and pull things across if they needed too. Try fighting an enemy (Tznetch), who can fortify his own past in the future or borrow power from his future self. It's hard to compare. What marvel character can borrow power from their future selves?

40k is up there... it's not just chaos that's a problem. Every galaxy out there in 40k has some new horror that resides in it. But the technology of 40k is probably the most advanced of most fiction, from what I know from the Golden Age of Mankind. In 40k... those chaos gods are only 40k years old. They are babies fighting among themselves.

Nope, in lore they are only in the Milky Way due to mostly humans being there. In another galaxy, the Tyranids show up and have never heard of chaos, all they have is their Devourer who basically had the Immaterium to themselves over there.
