Hopefully the fact that she isn't infertile helps take away some of the insecurity she feels towards heinleys love of her :( As being afraid she couldn't give an heir was part of it, of course doesn't take away any of the trauma of her previous relationship, but it takes away one worry

Yeah, but also consider Rashtas attitude towards her previous baby and her thoughts towards this baby when it was just born, she didn't want to hold her at all until he came in, and she only did then to protect her image, she clearly has some mental health issues so with her current attitude towards the baby, her twisted thought process and the fact that the emperor and citizens are seeing her true nature I wouldn't put it past her to harm her daughter or use her as a bargaining chip. Of course the way he's dealing with it is awful, but they don't necessarily have the knowledge of mental health issues, or dangers after pregnancy that we do as it's not the same world as ours (and doesn't seem to have the same technology we do, they have mages and magic but that doesn't equate to knowledge) So personal Bally I can respect his reasons for once (even if his method is kind of cruel)
