When he said that, he was referring to the ones he wasn't going to trade with. Sorry for the confusion. I'll go back and correct that.
ch 65 Bodily... Transformation
Urban · BelethBeleth
Didn't mean for it to come off as an insult, more like a bit of snark or sarcasm. Mainly because while he does serve Randolph, he isn't just a mindless butler machine who meant to follow orders. Though he is always reverent in tone and manner.
"I understand, my Lord. I will go and get you a new one at once. Do not worry over your horrible clumsiness in losing a phone almost immediately after its purchase, I will take care of it no matter how many times it takes."
Urban · BelethBeleth
It's not that he doesn't accept it, he does acknowledge it. It's just that he doesn't have the luxury to worry about it in his current situation.
His mind was full of unanswered questions as he ran. He wanted answers, but he couldn't stay there for even a second longer. If the police were to come, they wouldn't defend him. Quite the opposite in fact. It didn't matter who was in the right or wrong, one look between the two and anybody would make the same decision.
Urban · BelethBeleth
Yeah, it'll happen.
Anybody with a modicum of common sense would be able to look at the situation properly. But that was where the privacy clause of the contract came in.

Don't worry, it'll get a lot worse. But for now they have to be reasonable as circumstances demand, because Swaine knows he has usefulness to Randolph. It's why he was hired as a temporary employee instead of a slave or whatever else.
It was sided towards him and his company but that was only to be expected as this was a legitimate opportunity that he was granting Swaine. Simply put, he could do without Swaine, but Swaine could not do without him.
Urban · BelethBeleth
The problem with that is that the contract is very clear-cut and simple. Swaine isn't desperate enough for him to include a punishment like that - since their relationship is more like mutual benefit instead of him depending solely on Randolph.

It's supposed to before until his term ends, and it's only for "out of means of his disposal", meaning only until he can't deal with it himself, and also death or immense bodily harm. I'll change it, I didn't make it clear enough.

Yes.
Upon completion of the contract, party (b) will agree to the condition of absolute confidentiality of party (a). Administrator (a) reserves the right to interpretation of such an event.

You make a good point. Lol.
He sat in a private booth, surrounding by a large glass window and a circular table filled with various meals.

The stats aren't expendable or useable. It's just a form of measurement for your stats, so he can't hold it in storage or anything like that.
His CON had gone up to 18, but it still couldn't handle the strain of 27 STR. Put simply, he had bitten off more than he could chew while trading with Jason, taking 7 of his points. This was a good way to relieve his body from the strain. It was an overall gain when considering the price Swaine had paid and his own body's health.
Urban · BelethBeleth
Yep, exactly.
ch 36 Demonic Nature

Purely by trade. Stats are just a quantification of one form of power.

Thanks for the feedback. This part was what I considered the promise of the premise, but perhaps I didn't execute it as well as I could have.
