That's definitely the rational thing to do. What I originally wrote was him just staying in the trees throwing stuff at Jiro to be safe. It got very repetitive and boring so I deleted it. On a rational level, you're absolutely correct, but I just did what was more entertaining

My understanding is that the 2nd shinobi war kind of bleeds directly into the 3rd, and Sakumo killed himself somewhere in between the tail end of the 2nd and the beginning of the 3rd. The Naruto timeline is super tricky, so some assumptions have to be made on my end
'Kakashi's only one, huh? So we should be somewhere close to the beginning of the Second Shinobi War, I think,' Katsu thought.

MC was in his twenties back on Earth. I wrote that sentence in a confusing way. I meant to imply that he is the son of a mother, and the grandson of a grandmother. MC doesn't have any children and definitely not any grandchildren lol
This acceptance of his situation crushed something inside him. To know that he would never be able to hang out with his brothers, visit his grandmother, or hug his own mom again was soul rending. He was a man with a family — a son, grandson, and brother — and now here was, alone and in a world of strangers.

The timeline I use says he started dedicating himself to ramen at 13. Also, per the wiki, "In Naruto Shippūden the Movie: The Lost Tower, Naruto travels twenty-three years into the past and witnesses Ramen Ichiraku's grand opening, a contradiction of the manga." Wiki says it's a contradiction. If you want, you can just imagine this to be an Ichiraku he made prior to the well-known Ichiraku, but it didn't do as well so he reopened years later.
"It's good to have you as a customer, Katsu. Actually… it would be nice to have more customers in general." Teuchi seemed to deflate a little at his own words.

I don’t know why I wrote this sentence. I just kept going and decided to leave it as is.
"Kakashi! An intruder has broken into the compound and taken Ayaka hostage!" Katsu said with a face of pained agony, like he'd lost his puppy to a train barreling down the tracks with little regard for lessor lifeforms, steamrolling any creature unfortunate enough to get caught under its hundreds of tons of steel machinery.

The only real example I can give about this is when as a kid you were told to “pat your head and rub your stomach in a circle.” It’s super easy to do now, but as a little kid, my brain all but had an aneurysm trying to do both at the same time.
At a basic level, it's like learning to do two contradictory actions with either hands simultaneously. It may be difficult at first, but the brain will eventually learn to disassociate the two actions — for some faster than others.

If anyone’s disappointed with wind being his chakra affinity, remember that it doesn’t mean he can’t use jutsu’s of other natures. Also, I chose wind for a special reason which will be revealed later (No, not rasenshuriken. I’m not that uncreative).
"Wind," Sakumo said simply, "A good nature to have. I know many jutsu of such chakra nature. And with a couple fire techniques thrown in there, it can make for some nasty combinations — for your opponent that is."
