Such a gripping read! I particularly like the fantasy and world building, and the fact that Spheris isn't some kind of beloved hero or grim villain either. But just a slightly weird young man struggling to survive in a kingdom to which he's at odds with. I'll try to leave points to up Spheris' character. The realms and depictions of the magical world are liberal and thoughtful, yet with room for imagination. I'm only in chapter three. I'll drop off here. I have to go back and keep reading.
