I do like Harries personality somewhat but I feel he might be too much of a villain type character instead of the anti-hero looking out for number 1. I can understand him practicing magic on belatrix he needs a test subject he won't mind hurting and she fits that but I think the idea of shifting the rabid dog loyalty to himself doesn't fit his character. He feels more like the guy that would try to cure her and that manipulate her into severing him or just killing her if she doesn't agree. He doesn't need or want mad dog loyalty but competent loyalty. As for how he handled his godfather I liked it. He wasn't kind to him but wasn't so heartless that he would end him and at the end of the day he is helping him which I think shows that on some level he still values his familial connections if nothing else as a sense of duty which fits his not quite evil character. I like how you are making a character that isn't all out villainess but isn't a naive hero arca type either.

I wonder if everything will really go like it did in the future. I get you might have your reasons but I think with the level of skill and paranoia that fujin has he would have back up plans if something didn't go like it did in the future. I feel it would fit his character to not rely completely on his future knowledge at least. What do you think?

so does he need to have 3 women and 6 kids when he is 11 or is it like a magical contract type thing that will force him to do it eventually?

sorry about your brother but thanks for keeping up with the story I find it interesting! I was wondering about when he'll go back to meet with his friends in Europe again as you mentioned last time he was planning to do that. Also I think it be cool if he saw some other supernatural creatures in America that might get killed out before modern times or something to explain why they aren't seen. Perhaps mermaids or fishpeople

One why does he care about his brother he gave up on his parents pretty quickly? Two why doesn't he modify the shield to work or change it to function differently as it seems to be something useful? Third I think he should be more worried about darth vader and should be doing more to prepare for it namely I think he should be trying to make some devices to help him against fighting him as he often goes to mechanics when he has an issue? One idea would be an emp similar to droid popers form star wars the clone wars or the naboo palace defenses from star wars battlefront 2 ea, And fourth and final question how much does the mc know about the star wars universe?

Here's a thought for you: Colt should try to make an emp of some sort similar to the droid poppers from star wars the clone wars or the Naboo palace from star wars battlefront 2 campaign in preparation for fighting Vader again or any other droid like threat. This would make sense with his personality of making devices for his survivability as well as make his next fight with Vader more fair and realist if he can use it. At the end of the day this is just a thought and do with it as you will.

Why is Colt so focused on his brother? He discarded his parents easily so why? I have a few ideas but I'd like to hear your thoughts. Also why didn't the shield generator work and couldn't he modify it to work I men it seems useful enough to work on? Other than that I am loving this fic please keep it up. I love reading about his training or the upgrading of his gear and the fight scenes you write are so fun and feel authentic. Colts not overpowered but isn't weak either which I love and you write a nice balance.

Isn't part of the trial supposed to be about the pain and the ability to overcome it? If they are just going to stop before he breaks then how can he push past his limits like a trial is supposed to and if afterwards he forgets it anyways there was no point to tempering his will and resolve as he would have forgotten. Not to mention if he can just forget it might as well use magic to block his pain receptors in the first place.
