They don't even know; they just think the camp is somewhere in the northeastern part of the US. It'd be idiotic of me to have them instantly figure the location out. And what do you mean by drama lol? At most, these chapters help to develop their bond and make it feel more organic.

-> First: No harem whatsoever. There will be a handful of love interests, but I think the female lead will be easy to distinguish right from the first few chapters. I wouldn't say to expect the romance to be a slow burn, but at the same time... kinda. I can't say much because of major spoilers.

It's called pressure. If Blink couldn't have broken his shoulder by squeezing it, Alex also couldn't have choked the lion. If it was immune to pressure, wouldn't make much sense that it could fold and be used as a piece of clothing at all.
He breathed in through the nose; breathed out the mouth. He checked his wounds. A limp left arm, a large gash above his right eyebrow, and a few broken fingers — the latter was something he could ignore for now. The best course would be to check the extent of damage on his left shoulder.

It scraped what felt like a rib on the way out, a sensation that was analogous to fingernails across a blackboard combined with having your teeth drilled in the dentist without anaesthetic; screaming clouds of blackness bloomed inside his eyes. Alex moaned and shuddered with pain, and Ugly confused it for his dying sounds — a mistake.

I would've taken your advice had you not been so distraught by the character simply fighting back his tears and pushing his sadness back. Yeah, he had a determined expression afterwards. It's called coping.
Alex's heart felt like it was cracking into pieces. She had such pain in her voice — familiar pain. He closed his eyes and made a silent decision right there. He'd take care of this kid and be her family. After what happened with Hal… well, it seemed like fate. Alex watched one demigod die for him. Now he'd found this little girl. It was almost like a second chance.
