He twisted around, only to witness Hiruko, Sasori's cover puppet, enveloped in the unquenchable black flames. Sasori had already abandoned Hiruko, now standing before Deidara, intercepting his frenzied attacks with a calculated calm. Orochimaru's lips curled into a sneer of realization; Itachi's true target had been Sasori all along, banking on Orochimaru's evasion. With a snort of disdain, Orochimaru lunged once more into the fray, his intent clear and murderous.

The seal, barely noticeable, sank beneath the sleeve, trailing a hidden path towards the man's back. "We're done here," Horyu stated flatly, his voice carrying the weight of finality as he turned to leave. The man, after a brief, suspicious glance around, departed in the opposite direction.

Horyu had made his mind up. The twilight outside cast a muted glow through the window of his modest room, setting the scene for introspection. He would first focus on Genjutsu, alongside seals. Only after these would he focus on Ninjutsu and Taijutsu. The potential of Genjutsu, so broad and overpowering, enthralled him. The way it allowed Shisui to control Konoha with his Mangekyo Sharingan stirred a deep desire within him. Power – that's what he lusted after.
