Teo's relationship with Tori, his best friend, is portrayed with authenticity, making their connection relatable. Additionally, the narrative tactfully addresses the discrimination faced by werewolves through Ein's interaction with a prejudiced individual, adding a layer of social commentary to the story. The incorporation of supernatural elements, such as elemental powers and the concept of an Ultima, adds intrigue and sets the stage for potential conflicts and revelations. The scene where Teo confronts Micheal, showcasing his inner turmoil and rage, is an impactful moment that highlights the potential consequences of unchecked power. "Dark Hatred" does a commendable job of hooking its audience with a blend of supernatural intrigue, character-driven moments, and foreshadowing of upcoming conflicts. As the first episode of the "Ultima" series, it succeeds in setting the tone for what promises to be an engaging and thought-provoking journey through a world of powers, emotions, and revelations.
