I’ve read up to the last free chapter. The writing style is good. The plot is somewhat relaxed, but still good. As for the language style and grammar, I’m not really sure. The pacing is fairly fast—not slow, but not too fast either. The worldbuilding and power system are quite easy to understand, although the mechanics aren’t the main focus. The MC is fairly calm and intelligent. He prefers to play it safe, like a normal person (which I think is good), unlike typical MCs who tend to be a bit reckless. He has a decent sense of justice and morality. Overall, it’s interesting and good.

Nice question. It's because...
"Isn't it stated in there that anyone who does not possess 'The Root of Desire' is eligible to practice this? All I have left are bones, so why am I still unable to practice this skill?"

This is just my opinion. I think the last few chapters felt monotonous because they focused on the foster girls. I wish there would have been more focus on Ulrich, or if it did focus on the foster girls, the story could have been told from Ulrich's perspective. Not first-person POV, but something like Ulrich listening to their accounts of their actions or observing them silently, or occasionally.
