It is kinda but I’m pretty sure it’s only on the last semester basically when the president is leaving to my understanding I may be wrong though I’m just making assumptions based off what I read

"That's generally true. I hadn't intended to recruit a first-year, considering the potential for Nagumo's influence. However, I have no such concerns about you. As the president, I have the prerogative to choose my vice president. Once Nagumo ascends to the presidency, which seems inevitable, the vice president position will be vacant, and my choice will stand," he explains.

Yeah I got you, I didn’t do it because I plan on having Ichinose and Kanzaki play a part in the story soon and introducing them twice during one exam may be boring

Idk how I feel about this chapter I don't know if many would like the idea of Light being able to figure out the class b leader through observation or will think the chapter wasn't entertaining or dumb.

Yeah I’d say so although I think slight probably blows her out of the water in the pride department especially how highly he views himself compared to others.

"They're crippling themselves by staying hidden. We've confirmed they're lying low, which limits their options. All their moves are weaker than if they were out in the open. I'm curious about Class D's true leader because they've managed to achieve things despite being hidden. It's not much, but it shows their potential, especially in manipulating others. That's why I'm letting them make the first move," I conclude.

Yeah a bit of it is hyping up the competition too

So while ayanokoji hasn’t been going all out (which light doesn’t really know) he’s seems to be noticeably more impressive based off that small sampling of leaders who reacted to the midterm trap

I’ll just copy the same response I gave to the person below here He is basically implying that while he hasn’t done much what he has done even though it isn’t much is impressive because he’s managed to hide himself while doing it. For example using kushids. Basically managing to react to the trap that was set in the previous chapters without revealing himself, maybe it’s a over exaggeration but I guess what I’m trying to make him say is that class d’s leader is seemingly more impressive then class b and the current class a (because Sakayanagi isn’t taking part in this exam) so he’s impressive in terms of the students competing in this exam because even though he noticed the trap he was more impressive in how he reacted. Essentially just take it as light saying noticing and reacting to trap while remaining hidden is a greater feat then noticing and reacting while being a public figure or leader because as he explain it is harder to accomplish certain things hidden.

I mean he was watching from a distance if anyone came his direction I think it’s fair to assume he would notice and I didn’t think there was a reason to make it overly difficult when even kaneda figured it out, but the more exciting chapters will be the ones coming out soon

I did it as best as possible, considering Ryuen figured out all the leaders except classes d's in the original. So, honestly, I didn't give myself much to work with. That's probably my fault. I could've planned this out better to make this arc longer, but upcoming chapters should be exciting. This special exam will be a bit short, but I think it will end pretty well, and you guys will enjoy it.

Yeah if it was class d too because of the expelled characters I don’t think they’d ever be able to make a realistic comeback lol

"Note that Class A will commence with only 270 points due to the absence of a student. A penalty of 30 points per student withdrawal applies," he added.

I don’t think it would work that way just because they are expelled there is technically no absences

Mashima-sensei retorted with a sly grin, "Class D, with five fewer mouths to feed, you should stop complaining and view this as an advantage over the other classes."

Basically yeah I thought it would be a entertaining starting point, there will be some romance but it won’t be the focus of the story at all. Hope you enjoy.

But then you've got the ones who carry themselves like they're elites or they've earned their spot in this school. When I got my acceptance letter, it was for Class C. That means there has to be Class A and B. Considering an average Japanese classroom has about 38 students, and this school takes in 160 each year, I'm guessing there's a Class D, too. That'd mean there would be 40 students per class.
