Damian didn't like Riser and he was a big fan of Rias. The way she tried her best at everything, her slightly naive side, her protective nature, and so much more. Damian wouldn't go as far as to say he was in love but he certainly cared for her greatly. Especially when compared to Riser.

why is he even surprised by what she did. He watched the anime. That's why a majority of MC's in these Fanfics want to avoid Freya for this exact reason. Why lower your MC's IQ so much for unnecessary drama?

You can't apply this worlds logic to danmachi. in a world where it's kill or be killed, doing what Freya did is not a big deal. Also that was some dungeon shenanigans, not just Freya.

Not nitpicking. Author wants Drama so he's forcing it in, or he's ignorant.
[Author's note: This part of the city I mentioned is a location I'm creating here, it's not canonical. Another thing, I had Aiz attack Riekling; I believe it makes more sense if she encountered some monster in the city. Knowing Aiz and her unconditional resentment for monsters, I know she hates dragons above all, but I don't think she wouldn't attack a goblin if she saw it in the streets of Orario. I believe it makes much more sense for this attack to happen if she saw Riekling. And of course, Lucius would attack Aiz; first and foremost, my character is a chaos creator. I never liked fanfics where the MC is friends with everyone; there have to be tensions and disputes, which is not difficult with his personality.]

Because he's entirely made up by the author. The author feels like a 15 year old child who thinks this behavior is cool after reading a few Chinese novels and decided to give his mc that personality but it doesn't work in Danmachi.

I know I'm stepping into this goddess's blacklist now, and maybe I can die here if I cross more of this line, but I wasn't going to let this dirty dwarf say whatever he wanted just because his goddess was here.

While this story had too much info dumping, it was still interesting. Yet the plot twist after his fight with a certain chicken completely ruined the story for me. It felt forced and rushed, and the follow-up was even more rushed. He suddenly has all his peer members, prominent side characters, and becomes an ice berg. You were doing so well author up until that point.
