Gotta love Telekinesis. I'd probably pick it over a bunch of stuff - it's so incredibly versatile. Only problem here is that it'd make things too easy for the protagonist to just steamroll people. I mean, imagine fighting a guy who can throw cars at you with his mind and when you finally get within melee distance with him, it turns out he's strong enough to choke out a gorilla. It just upsets the power balancing for the world he's currently in.

Oh yeah, 100%. That's less messing around with his brain and just tuning it up like a car or something. Improving how he stores information and how he comprehends it, and he's instantly more intelligent. I can't go too far with it because I myself am not some stunning example of intellect and trying to write a character more intelligent than you is just...not gonna end very well at all.

He definitely could, yeah. Just a question of how quickly he can add mass to himself on the fly while in a combat situation and simultaneously changing the elasticity of his bones and whatnot. Would be pretty fun to write if I go down that route though.

Hmmm, well, it's certainly a possibility. Would need to be careful messing around with his brain though, even with his Bio-Tinker ability giving him a hand in manipulating his body. One single mistake and he'll give himself brain damage that might just kill him outright because it's his brain that controls his powers, kinda anyway.

No, not really. Alex Mercer is a living virus made up of Biomass. Michael (the MC here, of course) is a human and will stay a human for the rest of the story. He could replicate some of Alex Mercer's abilities but there are certain limits that a human like Michael has that Alex Mercer just doesn't.

It's permanent. If he had to use his power to keep up his new form? It'd obviously revert if his power was nullified. But he doesn't need to use his power to keep his body as it is, it's simply his new base state and so he's unaffected by Trump powers that nullify another Cape's powers.
