Yeah idk why that's never really been shown in any ff. especially in the 70's-90's where it wasn't uncommon for black people to blatantly be called the n word by passerby's and for anything non-catholic or christian to be considered heretical or devilish.

Most witches and wizards would think it was just the super Traditionalist faction being bigots that tripped her up. But it wasn't, in the Muggle world there was plenty of discrimination, based on class, race, country and religion.

Yup! Complex characters are da berst

Sirius didn't have a problem with that. The Black Heir would sometimes notice that his words stung their smallest friend, but… what could he do about that? Not like saying sorry would make those words go away. The handful of times his father apologized for his mother didn't take away the burns and cuts. Not that his father apologized anymore.

I needed a way for Voldemort to not be a complete idiot and just put them in well known places.

"Trust me I thought the same while hunting for them. Turns out it's a part of the ritual. The Horcruxes need to be stored in a place of importance to the user. It keeps the soul fragment stable, like the childhood teddy bear still on your bed it roots them to this place."
