Yeah idk why that's never really been shown in any ff. especially in the 70's-90's where it wasn't uncommon for black people to blatantly be called the n word by passerby's and for anything non-catholic or christian to be considered heretical or devilish.
Most witches and wizards would think it was just the super Traditionalist faction being bigots that tripped her up. But it wasn't, in the Muggle world there was plenty of discrimination, based on class, race, country and religion.
