Asweda Asweda health situation worsened everyday. He suffered with sickness for long. Asweda had to live a miserable life for the rest of his life. Ochilo feared for his life and ran away into the hideout several miles away. Asweda returned back to his wives again. The life had to continue as usual. The family had reunited again and happiness prevailed again. Asweda Asweda was already physically disadvantaged and had little to do to gain wealth. He was among the poorest people in that society. Asweda Asweda was now disturbed about how to gain back his social status. He finally got a solution. Asweda's first daughter Shantela was now twelve years old and the second one Aziza ten years old. Asweda Asweda announced their marriage and suitable suitors to show their interest. A very old rich man called Ombeva showed interest and came to Asweda's home for the same purpose. He was interested in marrying off the two daughters. It was the turning point for Asweda again. Asweda saw light at the end of the tunnel. He accepted the Ombeva's proposal and quickly set a high bride price. The old man Ombeva could not bargain any more. He accepted and sent elders to bring two hundred cattle to Asweda as the bride price. Asweda's social status raised again. Asweda Asweda considered himself rich and wanted to marry the fourth wife. He sent elders to go to a nearby village to look for a woman for him. The elders found a woman called Helena for him. He then organized for dowry payment and owned the woman. Helena had considerable beauty. She had a nice voice and good figure.

The struggle by the dying man raised attention in the homestead. This made members of the home rush to the scene to see what is going on. Everyone was surprised by what had happened. There was a vivid evidence that Asweda Asweda had killed the mad man. Asweda Asweda was holding a machete full of blood. Ochilo, knowing very well the reason behind Asweda's intention to kill the mad man, was very worried. He thought he will be the next on the list. He felt unsafe in the hands of his brother Asweda Asweda. Ochilo thought of a way to finish Asweda Asweda completely so that he be safe. He had a lot of thought in his mind. He once thought of running away into the hideout once again. Ochilo quickly took his machete and moved close to his brother Asweda Asweda with an intention of eliminating him on this earth. Ochilo felt eliminating Asweda completely will give him peace. He was really worried about what Asweda would do to him, knowing very well Asweda was a merciless man. Ochilo quickly took a machete and quickly attacked the brother. By the time the crowd came to rescue Asweda Asweda was greatly injured. The angry mob had to discipline Ochilo. He was thoroughly beaten by the mob.

One rainy night, Asweda stayed awake outside his mother's hut. Although it was really raining but he could persevere and was determined to accomplish his mission. He walked slowly toward his former third wife's muddy hut. He stayed at the entrance for more than two hours aiming at his enemy. The enemy for this case was the mad man who had inherited his wife. The new couple were chatting happily as they could be heard laughing from time to time. Asweda Asweda was angered more when he heard their conversation. Still in the dark night, Asweda Asweda waited a little bit longer and could not give up. Before the new couple could sleep, the husband went out to relieve himself. It was a common practice for men to urinate besides the house before surrendering to slumber. That is how the mad man got himself in a death situation. The moment he stepped at the door, Asweda Asweda quickly took his sharp machete and chopped off his head. The man died instantly after a ten second struggle with his life. The attempt by Asweda Asweda to run into the hideout was fruitless as his mobility was reduced by the defects in his legs.

The once great man was surprised about how the events turned when he was missing. The man was really disappointed as he could not believe the situation at hand. His third wife had been inherited by a mad man who had already impregnated her. The first and second wives had already been inherited by Ochilo and gone father to have four sons in three years. It was a tough time for the poor man Asweda Asweda. Asweda had no roof under him and was accommodated by the mother. Ochilo, now knowing that Asweda Asweda could not defend himself and was under his mercy, he became rough and could not allow Asweda Asweda back to his wives. Ochilo on many occasions harassed his brother Asweda Asweda who by then was helpless and depended on a walking stick for support. Ochilo could not accommodate any intervention by the family member to have Asweda Asweda back to his wives. Asweda Asweda was really hurt as she really loved the second wife so much that he could not let her go. Asweda Asweda had to come up with a plan to recover his stolen wives.

The once great Asweda now had to come up with a strategy that would free him up. He was to climp up slowly in an effort to come out. But before he could effect his strategy he had to ensure enough food with him. He went into a hunting mission where he captured ten fat rats. He knew the ten rats will be enough to sustain him through the rescue process. He roasted them well and started to move up. He would grab and push himself through the rocks. Asweda ensured he covers a significant distance in a day. After a long period of struggle he finally came out of the cave. He felt a great relief as it was the first time to see the beautiful rays of the sun since more than two years back when he was pushed into the cave. He would fake a smile on his frowned wrinkled face. He had lost memory and could not trace his way back home. Asweda was assisted by a young lady who was willing to direct him to his village. Traditionally people were usually kind and really valued assisting others. That is how the once great Asweda Asweda found himself back to the ancestral land. It was really a great event to welcome him back but now as a 'bachelor'. His three wives had already been inherited.

The council of elders sat in one corner of the home compound sipping their refreshing traditional brew locally called busaa. The great Asweda Asweda sat next with them as he narrated his side part of the story. Asweda at the point of fight with the Oromo young men, his leg was chopped off. This confirmed that indeed the already buried leg belonged to the great Asweda Asweda. Asweda narrated how he was forcefully pushed coincidentally into a very deep cave that saved his life. He imagined the painful death he would have suffered in the hands of the merciless Oromo young men. The life in a cave was not easy. He could barely see the sunshine or even feel the warm solar energy. There was extreme cold to withstand. He was in a serious pain and could not access any treatment service. He endured all as he believed in the community notion that men are born to suffer. He had hope that one day he would come out of the situation. He was really hungry as there was no food in the cave. The only close associates in the caves were the rats. Asweda had spent almost three weeks without food. He grabbed one big rat and swallowed it alive as the poor rat suffered under him. After that meal, he had to come to terms with the reality. He had to accept that rats will be his daily meal. He planned on how to spice up his meal. He thought of roasting the rats before eating. He could make fire by hitting two stones harder to produce fire. The would then collect woods available at the cave. The rats saved his life. After sometime, his leg healed up easing his mobility capability.

It was now time for a ritual to be performed. It was really a bad sign to bury someone while he is still alive. The family had to perform a ritual function to set Asweda free. Without further a do, the family organized a very big ceremony. Cows, goats, chicken e.t.c.... all were slaughtered in an event to celebrate their long lost family member. The council elders were there to give guidance in the process as it was keen not to break any taboo associated with the process. The traditional herbal medicine was availed which was mixed with foods. The essence of the traditional herbal was to clean up or reverse the already performed or alternatively reverse the burial ritual earlier performed. The entire community joined the family to perform the cleansing ritual as it was mostly a community affair. At first, ancestors had to be appeased in a special way. The council of elders poured down two pots of traditional brew in honor of the founding father of the community.

The bad scent could suggest that the man had not taken a shower recently. The caring family quickly organized a group of young men who quickly took him to a nearby river for a body showering process. The young men struggled with Asweda as the showering process was not easy. He had not interacted with water for almost close to three years hence Asweda found the water irritating him so much because he was not used to it. They eventually showered him clean and wrapped him in an animal skin. They then placed him on a stone beside the river for thirty minutes to be warmed by the solar energy as he was almost shivering. Asweda Asweda was then taken home.

One sunny morning, a family got surprised and could not believe their eyes. The once great Asweda Asweda was seen limping on his one leg, walking with the help of a stick. It was really a great moment for the family to reunite again. A mixed reaction between happiness and disbelief filled the Asweda's family. The entire community was shocked by the news. It was really hard to believe as Asweda had been already buried in decent send off. It was almost three years since Asweda's decent burial was performed. The once healthy strong man with huge muscle, now looking thin, weak and with numerous wrinkles on forehead. The community flock in Asweda's home to witness the wonders that has just happened. Most people believed that he was a ghost and could not get near him. Any attempt by Asweda to greet them by hand was fruitless as most ran away from him. Most people at the scene were just staring at Asweda at a distance. It was only the close family members who had courage to touch Asweda or even greet by hand. It was really hard to imagine the once most great and respected member of the society now appearing useless and isolated by the community.

Ochilo was a smart man and his wisdom was unexplainable. He tactifully convinced them and without wasting time, he was the husband. Ochilo was a man with high affinity for other peoples wives. He had severally engaged in infidelity with other people wives. Without further ado, Ochilo impregnated the two wives almost at the same time. He was a really man. He took ownership and protected the family of his brother. The community permitted the practice. They both delivered to baby boys. The first wife named his child Okumu and the second wife Asweda Junior. Three month after delivery, they got pregnant again. Ochilo was really overworking.

Osuna, an elderly man thought how to play safe. The process of inheriting was very simple. The first man who would close the door, irregardless of the length of time the door will remain closed was considered the one to inherit. Osuna thought that he could be tactful by visiting them independently with a target*** with intention to close the door automatic inherit them all. Osuna's plan was fruitless as all the three wives were careful and could not allow him into their huts. Osuna got angry and planned something evil for the widows. He deliberately organized a mad man into Asweda,s third house, as they were in the house, Asweda strolled quietly and closed the door. It was a big disappointment as she was now to be inherited by the mad man. Osuna was in a revenge mission having known that her effort to inherit them was fruitless.

Everything had be done accordingly and the family was careful no to mess. It was now the interested part to inherit the widows to show up. There was a great struggle as the interested parties struggled to win. Asweda's brother Ochilo had returned home after being informed about the death of his brother Asweda Asweda. Ochilo had earlier ran away into the hideout for having affairs with Asweda's second wife. Ochilo was among the peoples who were in a hurry to inherit his brothers wives. Ochilo had admiration of inheriting his brothers second wife who they had earlier had affairs that resulted to the birth of Thishida Nasimalwa. Ogungo Hatari, Asweda's cousin was also attracted to all the three wives of Asweda and had already made a step convince them. Another party in the inheritance wrangles was an old man Osuna, who had previously been sent to participate in dowry payment for Asweda's second wife. It was now the three to play tricks to win the wives.

The family decided to sent off their beloved one on the first day of the third month. The preparation were made in advance. The professional mourners were hired to mourn the great Asweda Asweda. The community had professional mourners who usually wailed around, singing praise songs to the deceased. There songs and wails also gave hope to the deceased family. The traditional brew locally known as busaa was put in place. The burial of a prominent person was not complete without the traditional brew. The brew usually gave a refreshing taste. On the material day, all plans were in place. The young strong men as usual were directed to dig the grave. The determined men were really willing to execute the task. They quickly cooperated and their cooperation was really amazing. There was this narrative that Asweda Asweda was cursed by the ancestors. This narrative mainly based on the way Asweda Asweda ignored the community customs and even not ready to listen to the directives of the ancestors. There this thing that happened at the time of grave preparation. The grave diggers just started fighting among themselves. According to the customs, it was really a bad sign to ignore. The situation was to be intervened by the council of elders who were to intervene on behalf.

The ten young men who were with Asweda returned home with bad news. They narrated how they found themselves in the hands of Oromo people. Nekesa and the group were doubting the possibility of Asweda being alive. They were convinced that Asweda Asweda must be with the ancestors at that particular time. This new shocked the Family and the entire community. They could not believe at all. Asweda's newly married third wife was really shocked as she was becoming a widow three months after marriage. Another draw back for Asweda's third wife was that her bride price was yet to be paid. It was really a sorrowful moment for the family. Everyone associated the incident with the ancestors' earlier communication. Asweda Asweda had been warned by the ancestors not to go for a planed cattle rustling mission but he ignored. Now the search for wealth now turned to be a disaster. The family were left with a scar which could not heal. The family had to accept the reality as it was.

Asweda in a company of his ten young men came out of the place they were hiding. Unfortunately one person saw them and suspected them. It seems they looked suspicious. The person raised alarm and people came armed. This time round they were not as many a the previous crowd was. They were given a thorough beating that left all of them injured. They were left unconscious. Things was becoming tough for Asweda and the company. The situation was becoming unbearable. There was all signs that their expected rain will not be successful. Considering the risks associated, one would suggest they quit their plan. But they were determined with much expectation to succeed. They were still on on their way. In their mind, they were determined to reach the Oromo village. The village was believed to be blessed with a countless number of livestock. They believed that once they arrive that land, their life would positively change drastically. They continued with their journey but at this time they were feeling hungry. They went to search for wild fruits in the bush. Luckily they found guavas which they all ate to fill their stomachs.
