This novel was a letdown. The world building and characters are interesting and well developed but after getting to the academy arc the story takes a steep decline in writing quality and progression. There are over 100+ chapters spent on one night at a banquet while the author reiterates the same sequence of events from 4+ POVs. It’s an interesting concept but the story slows down to a halt and it becomes overly repetitive. It’s clear AI was used to write the majority of the academy arc and the author seemed to not even care to remove prompts. My other criticism is how verbose the author (or maybe AI) is in general where the level of detail and repetitive writing style to describe certain things gets a little tiring. I wish the author kept up the same quality throughout the novel as it had in the beginning. Sad to say this was not worth the read as it’s frustrating to get invested in it and then have it be clearly deprioritized from the author. TLDR: don’t read unless you want to get disappointed by quality drop and AI repetitiveness

Full 5 stars across the board. This was my first light novel that I picked up and I couldn’t put it down. Caught up all 1700+ chapters within a week and am starving for more. The world building and character depth is a major plus! Would highly recommend for anyone to pick this up if they love fantasy and adventure. This has gotten me into the world of light novels in general
