Can't have character growth if they're perfect from the start. I wanted him to have a real evolution from normal dumb teenager with issues to Hero. I always hated it when you get some kid taken into a new world and given power and they just change overnight. Habits and personal growth take time and so does putting trauma and issues behind you.

Yes it is, the first thirty chapters or so were written on my phone and the autocorrect made it its lot in life to become the bane of my existence lol. Will be going back and editing them as soon as I have a decent pool of in waiting chapters.

I think you're just missing the exaggeration, like when you bump into a door lightly and say "ow" even though it doesn't hurt. When it happens suddenly it's just the surprise, like if you've ever had a kid jump on you and wind you because you weren't expecting it. That's why when she actually shot him in the cave she panicked and got flustered.
