Thank you for your comment! When choosing Rika’s inner thoughts, I usually try to put myself in her shoes and imagine what she would naturally say. Rika has a very special and, to some extent, eccentric personality—something I personally enjoy and feel very fond of. That personality I gave her has helped me develop both her dialogue and her inner thoughts.
I usually have a general idea of the scene, but when I write Rika’s thoughts, I sometimes let myself be carried away, and the plot ends up taking a different turn. In general, I let her thoughts and the interactions with other characters shape what happens.
