"Wer hat dich angefasst?", fragte er, seine Augen brütend auf sie gerichtet, und als sie nicht antwortete, donnerte seine Stimme in den Raum: "WER?" Als er sich umdrehte, sah er zuerst seinen Butler an, der den Kopf gesenkt hatte. Mit großem Mut begegnete der Butler den Augen seines Meisters: "Habt Ihr einen anderen besseren Zeitpunkt? Oder soll es sein, nachdem ich dir den Hals umgedreht habe?" fragte Damien ruhig und legte den Kopf schief. Keine Sekunde später rannte der Butler aus dem Zimmer, um nach zwanzig Minuten mit Mr. Reverale zurückzukehren. "Damien, haben wir eine späte Teeparty?" Mr. Reverale wollte ihn begrüßen, aber der Herr des Hauses hatte andere Pläne. Als er das Messer entdeckte, das in dem Apfel auf dem Tisch steckte, griff er danach, um es herauszuziehen. Gerade als Mr. Reverale ihm die Hand geben wollte, ergriff Damien seine Hand, um sie auf den Tisch zu legen. Mit einer schnellen Bewegung, als ob er Zwiebeln schneiden würde, hackte er dem Mann die vier Finger von der Hand, so dass er vor Schmerz aufschrie und weinte. "Niemand rührt an, was mir gehört. Ich bin sicher, das wird dich daran erinnern, wenn du das nächste Mal auch nur daran denkst, sie anzufassen", seufzte Damien, als wäre er es leid, den Leuten zu sagen, dass sie ihre schmutzigen Hände von seinen Sachen lassen sollten.
