Title of this novel should be "Another unbalanced MMORPG: Dumb luck specialist". MC is lucky dumbass. He played underpowered class for a month staying at level 1. Then he got ultra lucky mining drop that turned him into OP character (cause you know game balance is a ****). He had 0 contact with other players, knows 0 information about his class and is without his main class weapon (puppet) even though everyone had one. But somehow he is expert player??? Then character development... Except for playing the game he may be ficus for all we know. And considering style i doubt that he will develop later. Worldbuilding... except badly designed game, we know absolutely nothing about RL. Also you get info dump about game here and there. Overall badly written novel. There are much better quality written game novels out there.
Alright this novel is a horrible video game novel. Lucky drops galore alongside incomprehensible game mechanics. If you can ignore the fact that it's a game novel then you might get some sliver of enjoyment out of it as long as you don't think too deeply. All in all, it's not worth more than 3 stars, and I'm being generous.

Extremely derivative work with obvious influences from WoW and other MMOs. There is very little originality to this work. Maybe the author will come up with some twists but so far this is just the typical OP MC in a game world story.
I dislike Mad snail all I have to say, if TDG brought you to the scene of chinese novel like it did to me, you’ll understand... Mad snail has a tendency to give up writing novels or rush it.

Read first 40 chapters in 2.5hrs and not 60 as I ain't paying or using any resources for this trash. Another at best mediocre if not worse novel coming from Mad Snail. Read only if you refuse to use your brain and only speed read through chapters as if drinking water. MC is nearly as annoying in some way like Grid from Overgeared during the the first 100 chapters of it but has lesser character-wise quality. Not because Xiao Ling is scummy but he's literally almost braindead then out of nowhere he's this expert veteran kind of ****, nice character development mate. He's suddenly a chad alpha solo player, I get that he can become op but for him to be a smart@ss out of nowhere does not make sense. This is considering that the idiot has been stucked at level 1 and is poor af for more than 1 month since he played the game. If you're in such a position like that especially in a MMORPG, by the standards of gaming, you are by the definition of a scrub, not even a noob, a noob/newbie is someone new but a scrub/idiot is just inherently bad. Also, the fvcker is literally one of luckiest if not the luckiest beta MC for a game/vrmmorpg genre novel. He gets good **** like it's raining money and he didn't do even anything besides walking in a NPC building or randomly mining just so he gets a unique quest or unidentified op item. Not a single bit of struggle or a flow of events beforehand to make the situation acceptable. Either that's just the way it is supposed to be or my preconceived thoughts is shrouding me from liking this, knowing this MC will most likely not change much in terms of character development nor story-wise unlike Grid did. The game itself like the world or story is just thoughtless, by far one of the lowest quality gaming novel made up and that says a lot as most other game novels if not all of them are mediocre already and this one is worst than the existing or past ones. The fights are written soulless, they're so bad you don't even pay attention and just want to get it over with as it's that bland. That segment between the berserk warrior and 3 invading opposing faction was a snooze-fest as well as his random fights with scarlet minions. Fights by Xiao Ling literally goes like this, see enemy spam skills from 3 classes, enemy close to me? Use force push skill then rinse repeat. Not a single sense of thought in fighting, not even planning to chain skills or ****. Also it looks like there is no chanting for spells from the way XL fights? Only CD. Well GG melees late game, dumb game dumb author. World building is literally rated 1 star if none really. From the way it looks like, the MC has only been in 2 towns in a span of 40 chapters and it looks like it'll be the case until 70/80Ch. There has been no Real Life showing as well. Who am I kidding, this novel will most likely be dropped if not continued in a speed of a snail update like Tales of Demons and Gods. This novel is fine to read if you've read almost everything out there and has digested piles of trash novels and just want a quick brain stimulus to check whether your brain still works and can eat more trash as you've gone numb long before already.

A novel written by the infamous Mad Snail. The one who drop new novel every month and abandoned all of his previous work. Better dont read this, it wont have an ending and the mc is probably like the mc in Tales of demons of gods where he achieve single thing possible and ruin the storyline. And the 2 female protag which is his expertise where one of them is mad in love for the mc for no reason but he chase the other. And under 500 chapters the story probably circle around them. The mc, the idiot protag and the girl mc love that lusted over all the creature that have penis in the novel.
the MC is just a lucky who gets gets super lucky 9 out of 10 times. the plot has 0% creativity and is just a combination of a bunch of usual cliche's . i can confidently say that this is one of the worst novels i ever read.

I am quite satisfied overall. The way the MC was introduced was climactic, the build up was good and I like the world backround which is not as old European setting that is always being used! I hope the chapters will be uploaded as soon as possible! Thumbs up to the author!
