Synopsis

In a world filled with war and horror, she was a tool of slaughter.

She fought her way emotionlessly through the war for her masters' commands.

But it isn't until they die that she realizes how much the people she killed meant to her.

...

People say that being immortal would be an incredible dream come true, but they are liars.

Immortality is a nightmare.

People also say that they would rather have no feelings than to feel hurt.

But she would rather feel something than to feel nothing at all; especially when people who care about her die right in front of her, under her own hands.

She would do anything to become human.

To live, to feel, to die.

To be in control of her own fate.

Even if it means losing everything.

----
Author's note:
- In-depth characters
- The pace is a little slow
- There are a lot of genres, such as action and military, but they don't have their full potential showcased in the first 2 volumes

This is my first novel~ I hope you enjoy it!

The story is overall very enjoyable. The flow is not fast-paced, and that makes it easier to digest the information after each chapter. Although all the dark and mysterious implications, I find Fei very cute and innocent. By reading the first several chapters, I can feel the calm before the storm. I really liked it this way because I see some novels dive straight into war and action and it's just not interesting that way. I loved this story and already added it to my library. I'd leave more reviews as the story progresses. Hopefully one day, the author of this novel will get the attention they deserve for their efforts.

This review took me longer to get to than I wanted. One of my favorite books on this app so far, this was very good. I will breakdown each category and why I rated the way that I did. Also, while I will read all of it, I’m not finished with every chapter as I write this. Writing Quality Well written with few grammatical mistakes, this was refreshing. I could harp on very small things, but nothing affected readability. Some looked like typos while others where stylistic choices that I didn’t think conformed to technical grammatical guidelines. An example would be the use of parenthesis to denote dialogue in a foreign language. It looked like this “(I’m speaking French),” he said. The author noted what this meant at the end of the first chapter it appeared and was consistent. If anything, it made the story more clear. I think if it as a character in a movie speaking in a foreign language with subtitles telling the viewer what is said. Either way, well done . 5/5. Stability of Updating This is an automatic 5 category for me. Updates come often enough. 1/5 (kidding, 5/5). Story Development The story is setup pretty well. The prologue gives a glimpse of the future, and then the story goes back to the start. A lot of shows start this way as well. Pacing is very good. Things happen fast enough that it doesn’t feel like it is dragging, yet they happen slow enough that it doesn’t feel rushed. I have no complaints other than some confusion on reincarnated characters story lines. Basically, I am confused by the bits of information I am given about one character and how they know another character. I believe this fits into this category, rather than character design, because the questions are more like “is reincarnate born with the same name and appearance?” Good job here. 4/5. Character Design Again this was good. I think a few characters are more boring than others, but not every character has to be a dynamic one. Characters are introduced with enough focus that I feel that I get to know them but aren’t just a list of facts that takes an hour to read. Each character is distinct and different. The only exceptions are the villains in “Country E” who were all introduced so fast that no one really was memorable. That is where the point was lost, but I think they will be reintroduced later to greater effect. Their first appearance seemed like a ploy to build suspense in the plot anyway. 4/5. World Background There is a lot of subtle world creation. The author focuses a lot on important details, omitting things that don’t matter (as they should). Everything is well done. We don’t know everything about the world because it is revealed through character experiences, which is the better way to do it, but I enjoy getting to know more about this world. Even though it is just in the background, it is well thought out. My only gripe, and where the author lost a pint, is the names. Country A? I get that they all are in order of power/wealth so that we can easily tell what is happening, but this seems lazy. Other stories do this to better effect, such as The Hunger Games, because they name the country and the “districts” are purposefully numbered by the government in order of wealth etc. This entire world has no name. The countries are “Country (rank).” I have questions like what happens when country C earns more money than country B? Do they change names? Is someone pulling strings to ensure that they don’t change ranks? This is a lot of harping for a small detail though. I recommend picking names that start with the letter of their current designation. Edenburg= country E, Aphelagnis= country A, etc. 4/5. Overall, I love it. Great work, keep it up.

Hi there! This is the author, VA here, at the end of the first volume, Mutant. I am writing this review to inform possible new readers on what they should know before starting to read my novel. One major part of the novel that I especially enjoyed writing for is the design of my characters. I've tried to make every character- as long as they have over 1 line of dialogue - to have an in-depth backstory and a goal that will ultimately affect the story later on. The characters also have variety, and I wanted them to all be distinctly different from one another. In the first volume, you, as the reader, will be introduced to many of the major characters, though they might not catch your attention. I've prepared ample information for the world background, but you will be following Fei, the main character's perspective, and so if she only knows one place in the entire universe I've created, you will only know that one place too. But fret not, because she will ultimately leave the starting point she is at now and move on. The first volume is more of an introduction as well as a foreshadowing for what comes next in the coming volumes. As a result, the story is more peaceful, and the genre seems more like a-slice-of-life. This condition will continue for most of the second volume as well. I will do regular updates, with 1 chapter a day (after my 1 week break, once I begin my second volume). I'm planning to write over 200 chapters in total, and I'm hoping that you can come along with me in this journey. :) -- VA

Please write a review or comment if you have time and have read my novel. It will help me improve my writing and hopefully bring you better content. :) This novel focuses on the main character's growth as a human that is triggered by all of the different events that happen in her life. I really enjoyed creating the characters for this story. I tried making complex characters that would prove to be controversial later on in the story. Even minor characters have their own backstories and goals. I most likely won't drop this since I've already created an outline for the novel. I hope you all enjoy reading it! :)

I have read all the 16 chapters posted so far. The writing quality is good, I did not find any mistakes or typos. The story is developing nicely. World background is well defined. The issue of the meeting I have already indicated as a chapter comment. It is not clarified who these people are and what is their objective. Is it a secret world organisation that controls governments? The story becomes interesting from the 4th chapter. The main character a mutant. The idea is good and she undergoes a learning experience. However, how she became one needs to be elucidated. The rest of the characters are good. Yes, in big houses where there are a lot of servants, there is some sort of politics going on. I am saving your book to my library to read later. Keep writing. All the best!

Yay, I’m the tenth! I love this book. It sort of giving me “Alita Battle Angel” vibe. The intro got me hooked and I love the suspense you put me through. It keeps me guessing which makes it all interesting. For your writing technic, I have to applaud you for your good description and diction. I love how raw and organic it is. The way you describe things make me envision it accidentally. Keep up the good work author!

I must say that of the nine chapters I read, the prologue was undoubtedly my favorite. It had dynamic pacing and was quite a hook. The contrast between the "metal" and the "human" really worked, and I was immediately immersed into the backstory. On another note, I want to point out some concerns I had when reading. After moving into the actual storyline, was I the only one who was confused about B, D, E, P ;-; Like countries, code names, etc. I know that they're intended because you can't really use actual names or such, but it might just be me, but I really couldn't keep track T^T In addition, there's a lot of repetition of "the girl." For an entire chapter, I noted that quite a percentage of the sentences either began with "the girl" or included it. I know that it's necessary, but maybe just using she at some points will help? But that's just me being nitpicky so take everything with like not even a grain of salt but rather a cup of salt. The story is really promising, and the (in my opinion) ethical issues that it raises are really interesting. Good luck!!! ^-^ Hope my comments were helpful!

This is Brandon Gould the writer of the Tylingariea Epic i am responding to Review Swap that i sent a while ago here is my review From what is out right now i enjoyed it. the books pace is good and i think that inroducing us to Fai in the first chapter and then having us learn slowly about her though what i am assuming are flashbacks to her previes life when she lived with calros, before what ever happened to make her into what she is when the books starts I will make sure to contue reading this book to keep up with it

The story is well written and the flow is good. Some may stay it's fast paced but to some it isn't so you have to determine that out yourself. There was lots of characters introduced in the first ten chapters and after that you got more clear picture of the story's mc. But otherwise the characters are well written and the development is really good and the world background is quite a interesting and as the story is still starting it can get even better.

Having read 11 chapters I feel comfortable enough dropping this review. The fourth chapter onwards is where I get more interested in the novel. The first few chapters weren't bad, but didn't grab me. The second chapter's meeting was a good idea, but the execution felt a bit lacking. I wanted to be invested in the conspiracy, a secret organization if you will, the excitement didn't hit. And I love conspiracies. I really do. From chapter four onwards I enjoyed the story. It found its element, with Fei relearning how to be alive again. The characters are good, even if some fall on stereotypical character types. They are stereotypes for a reason. A personal nitpick I have is the use of Country A and so on. When the story has a focus on the countries and languages and we go by letters it doesn't really make me interested. When you still call it the language Chinese at some point it just frustrates me. Again I'll point out that the use of alphabetical countries is a personal nitpick of mine and many might not mind. Thank you for writing this novel. I'll take my time and catch up to the latest chapter. Happy writing!

I am loving this book. So far found it dark and mysterious with not o slow or not too fast pace. I think the most eye catching thing was the introduction of Fei. This is the first sci-fi book i am reading and i think i will continue to read due to its amazing story line. Good work dear Author. :)
