Synopsis
An online troll stumbles upon Reverend Insanity fan group and gets pissed off when everyone goes crazy over Fang Yuan. Having never read RI and only seen a few memes here and there, he pisses off everyone by saying that he could've done a better job than Fang Yuan without becoming a murder crazy psycho who treats everyone else like shit.
Then a user asks the troll: "Can you grant freedom from suffering?"
The troll replies: "Of course, I can even beat Fang Yuan's ass while doing it."
The user replies, "Close enough. Let's see what happens."
... and a Truck-kun sends our troll to the RI world. :-P

One of the rare fanfiction of RI who is good ! the multiple OC are really good and the MC is not an stupid guy with plot armor who will die without
Reverend Insanity Fanfiction? Need I tell more? With the world of Gu Masters being quite amazing itself, it's really enjoyable to read about MC who isn't a psycopath and omnipotent man like Fang Yuan (let's be honest, the work is extraordinary, but being a reincarnated, transmigrated demon with five hundred years of experience is overpowered). Here, MC is much more 'normal', which is good piece of read. Definitely recommend it
if you're expecting an op mc then look elsewhere. if you're expecting a competent mc then look elsewhere. if you're expecting wish fulfillment, badass mc, cunning mc, or even a non generic mc? look elsewhere. my first impressions of the main character have been lack luster so far. Bullied, then manipulated, ostracized, and again bullied and manipulated? It seems like authors writing a generic tragic character in which the world jut won't give him a break. Any bravado mc had from the beginning is literally beaten from him, leaving him armless, with low potential and almost resigned to his life. He clings to doing the right thing even when he is in some of the worst positions to be in. Maybe the author wants to draw emotion, a feeling of unwavering justice, but it comes off as a pathetic, last ditch effort to both end the suffering he has resigned himself and to do the right thing, adding some type of worth to his life. It looks like mc will be setup as tragic underappreciated martyr repeatedly until he has to contend with fang yuan in some kind of good vs evil battle. What attracted people to reading the original probably won't apply to this fanfic. If you like an unwavering fool in the face of a hopeless situation, striving for what he thinks is right then maybe this is for you. As the writing quality and grammar are a step above atleast 95% of what comes into webnovel. The author might say its from weak to strong but i don't think mc will ever truly be "strong" atleast compared to what author will make him face. Maybe weak to decent. TLDR Writing is good, grammar is good, mc is naive/foolish and gets himself into trouble a lot, while trouble also seems to find him.
the stories interesting, and compared to the other RF FF's this is better. The MC is someone with no knowledge about RI in RI...interesting, if done properly. But the thing about this bk is the MC is a retard, or heroic retard. -This MC SI's into a body, and the person was hated by everyone because of who he was, basically his status was beneath that of a slave. And MC knows this, and yet he tries to be hero. apparently MC has no common sense, this dude has no power, no help, barely any food, etc and he stands up to help a random, and the person he stands upto is a young master. And because of his stupidity he gets basically beat up. He later punches the young master, him, the village pariah punches someone with status ....MC isnt smart. Funny thing is apparently MC got beat up in his past life cause he tried to help when he himself could do barely anything. So, I suppose a smart and planning MC isnt a major focus. MC dost learn from past Another thing is that MC dosnt plan....he SI's into a world he knows nothing about and is in a hated body, one would expect him to collect info, plan, etc but he dosnt. would've been nice to see MC planning And something, I dont understand is how come he isnt a slave? his status was below a slave, why? everyone hates him because of his origin, so when he became orphaned, how come he wasnt forced to be come a slave? he could find a job even...him, a pariah of his society. So, I suppose to read this, u need to accept a stupid MC. other than these things which can easily be fixed later, its interesting
Wish to see the end of the story. Story going really smooth ı liked it very much and wonder what will mc gonna do in later chapters while FY dominates gu world. Thanks for the chapters.
I have not yet started the story. Here's 5 star for the summary and potential. I will definitely give this story a read. I cracked up at the part where troll says he will give FY a beating. Would love to see what he does :p
I couldn't bear to read another chapter, stupid hero trying to be the champion of justice and he's the dumbest of people, trying to stand up to Fang Yuan because he said Fang Yuan is evil haha, good luck, new joke
This is a very good book with solid writing. Would recommend everyone to give it a try. It may seem slow but it pays off soon. The story is perfect in its own way without any loop holes.
I really love the direction this fanfic has taken and I can't wait for more chapters. I never thought I would be this excited once agon for Fang Yuan's rebirth. Really want to know what happens ahead. I have some guesses though : This guy will either take SAC/ future memories of FY/make FY a potential ally. So many possibilities. Dying to know what happens
First of all I'm writing it from chapter 4 so some changes might be made to the story. Mc is without knowledge about the happenings of RI because he simply hasn't read it and he also doesn't have any special or op gu or tool. He's constantly bullied but can't react and....He's loser in all sense. Well let's see how it goes. But author has good writing capabilities and perfect background setting for mc
Writing quality is really good right from the very beginning but mc is naive and ignorant... He has no clue about the world of RI or the real reason behind the rebirth of Fang Yuan.... He mostly just acts like a typical shonen mc in most of the situations while trying his utter best to be a good person... That, in turn, makes him seem to be quite pathetic and pitiful person who just gets shit on by pretty much everyone.... He made enemies with FY not knowing what that heaven's will will aleays protect him until he manages to steal sovereign immortal fetus from Spectral Soul and even though he was built up as someone who will stop FY in the prologue, I don't see how he could keep it up with normal FY at all... Let alone when he gets the sovereign immortal aperture.... So yeah....
three chapters in, all i can say is great job dont listen to the critcs that crave for an op mc from the start it took fang yuan 500 years to become a decent rank 6 gu master the first time around. Hopefully you want sacrifice plot to satisfy delusional readers

very good, I just hope that the work doesn’t go the same way as the original, Fang Yuan only had one goal of being strong and nothing else, that’s why I dropped the original and it was really boring where all the arch was just massacre and cultivation , not even a little romance had, let alone any development of kingdom or sect
