Synopsis

Having a simple and peaceful life, Ishigami Kurayama is a young boy living in a world of superpowered people where “Heroes” exist. Although being a powerless boy in this superpowered world, Ishigami is supported by his family to become a hero when he grows up, giving him the drive he needed.
Suddenly, a tragedy strikes The Kurayamas, ruining Ishigami’s life, and driving him to the epitome of insanity as he slowly lost his mind and became a soulless body.
Years after that great tragedy, Ishigami manages to finally pull through, and move on from what happened years ago. Unfortunately, the world won’t let him.
Law enforcement, hypocritical heroes, criminal organizations, and the unknown. Ishigami is rapidly struck by non-stop struggles at every point in his life, stopping him from living a peaceful life.
With no other choice, Ishigamai, and his handful of allies, try their best to fight and survive in this overly dangerous and mysterious “World Of Heroes”.

Good pacing, amazing plot, and interesting characters. Honestly after reading that what else do you need to know? Get to reading this amazing novel already! . . . Still here?! Fine I'll go in-depth! This novel hits the ground running, but it fools you into thinking that it's protagonist Kurayama Ishigami is going to have your typical protagonist start up with the sweet addition of having his entire family to support him in his endeavor. That's until the story flips and you find yourself reading for a few chapters what can only be described as the antithesis of every superhero beginnings and more on the birth of a villain. However, the protagonist does find light and sees the worth of living, keeping himself somewhat in the straight and narrow path of good. I can only describe that as a testament to human goodwill, and that despite whatever trials a person faces in their life, no matter how much cruel or tainting, there's still something to give them hope to get back up and keep going. So if you want to be inspired or you need to read something that'll give you the strength to go through the day, check this novel out! You want more? FINE! I love how the author writes in their other characters, giving them fun and quirky personalities that make interactions GODDAMN hilarious at times. I personally love Hinotori as a character because of his gradual growth as a person.
I've read up to chapter 10 and I can safely say that this novel is bloody amazing. If you love quirky characters surrounding a tortured protagonist and seeing the interactions of them trying to pull him out of his misery then this is the perfect read.
Excellent story, amazing world background. The character pacing is smooth. Y'all should read this novel. I just hope the author updates soon. 😂😂😂
🧐 WARNING: To those people who are not a fan of books that depicts the dark side of humanity, blood, and gore, then this is not for you. 🔥Writing quality is superb. Some typos are on sight but only meticulous people would be able to spot them. If some books that are grammatically broken got 5 stars on them, then this deserves 9 stars for being able to make me cry. I also like the way how the MC deals with his enemies. 🔥The story development might be a bit fast for some but it was written pretty well . Not like your typical time skip and no development style. 🌱The character design, well, the concept of the MC's power is unique and his image when releasing his tenta..(spoiler alert) is kinda cool or perverted in a dark way? idk. try it 🔥Updating stability... so far so good. I mostly give 3 stars to most of my reviews regarding this criteria but for this book I'll make an exemption. (it's what it deserves) 🔥The world background, I haven't read up to his adventure in the new world but so far, as what I've read, it's on point aside from the year stated as the start of human evolution (Mr. author, you should edit the year when evolution started. It's ady 2020 yeah?) (the way you've mistakenly written the year seems dubious too me) 🤔 Anyway I loved reading it. 🐣PS: (A fan service waifu type would ruin this book. The plot is really good! The pacing is great and well written characters, each with their own unique quicks and traits that allows you to differentiate. So, that's it. What chu waiting for ? I guess I'll go into in-depth...? -The story follows the MC, Kurayama Ishigami, who was once an innocent boy who knew nothing of the world. But then, everything turned downhill. Taken into a lab to be tested as a lab rat, tortured every day till he lost his humanity. -After that, the following up of the events follows him in a broken down world, having lost the will to live, however-He gets salvation. Follow him as he go down a path of finding his own will, along with characters that appear in the story that accompany him. -A good story that really takes dives right into your imagination, the immersion is really good. The emotions are spot on, the dialogues are all really great, everything is just very good! No complaints here. Overall, the only thing I hate about the story is the suffering of everything AHHHHHHH *Cough* Anyways, read it you won't regret it!
Why hello there, it is I, the author of this story, and I am here to post a shameless review and say thank you for checking it out. Seriously, thank you for checking this story out, it means a lot to me. While reading WOH, I really hope that you can disregard some mistakes here and there in the first 20 chapters, but moving forward from that, the story would be written far much better. I really hope that you stay tuned for it. Also, this novel is going to be a long with many arcs that I have put two years of outlining and thought to. I really hope you can read this story and stay tuned for its chapter, see the progress of it, and see how much it improve along the way. First few chapters Written very good, but it goes downhill after that. Mc is a person who can kill and destroy secret labs with more than 10k personel Mc also able to act as a vigilante killing villains Mostly from a certain organization, This shows that mc have experience and ability to do the deed. But! Here come the inconsistency, 1. a Certain newBie hero able to fatally wound mc. 2. MC clearly show no skill and Wisdom tHat Make his past deed possible. He’s acting like a total newbie. 3. World backstory is not clear at all, stuff goes places. 4. Plot hole, a certain policeman able to deduce that he’s the masked vigilante with no clear reason at all. there’s no witnesses or clear proof that mc is the reaper, but noo the police just said “yo, You’re the reaper aint Cha ya just popped up here 3 month ago blah blah.” and Mc jus meekly said “yes” come on dude people come and go All the time People without history Are normal, and mc does have hIstory! he have a family, his family are massacred, he goes missing for 10 Frickin years THAT should Plant a Gigantic red flag right after he popped out. 5. Too many inconsistencies About power system, skill, organization and character personality. I honestly cannot comprehend how a person who is able to kill and destroy a whole organization, a vigilante even is making stupid decisions its like The author decided to retcon his whole past to a newbie. First few chapters (before supermarket scene) are awesome, the rest is shit.
The early few chapters are pretty good despite feel a bit rush for me and then when the MC encounter acquaintance and have a cooperation with the person the story is still pretty fun to read. However the story quality got worse by each chapter after that, there are so many inconsistent and plain unnatural course of action along the way. It keep making me wonder if the author is the same person or not as the quality drop is absurbly high. My biggest beef with the novel is the myriad of info dumbs that can be a huge bother to read. Writting quality is good as I didn't notice any sightnificant issue so far. The update stability seem good on my standard (3 chapters/week). The story development is non exist so far. Character design is fine, like the MC suppose to be empty/emotionless and yet he got panic, stress, angry at every single moment (this is one issue I have with later chapters). His friend is pretty helpful and generally good character to cheer on. Some minors character have some depth to them albeit superficial. World background is lacking, like I still don't know much about what is what and where is where. I might revisit this novel at later date, but the chance is slim. Don't mind my harsh review and just took the benefit critism.
