Synopsis
Xia Ye was the son of a man named Xia Hongyi. His birth was unexpected and strange as he had arrived into the world with no warning.
His features were abnormal, having a tail but looking human. He was neither beast nor human or anything else the world had ever seen before. Slowly as he grew, so did the mystery surrounding his birth.
Having a strange personality, he wished he could live life how he saw fit; however, too many things shackled him. He was incapable of cultivating due to the fact he was not born with Profound Veins. And compared to his loving family he was worthless.
However, on his fifteenth birthday, all of that changed. An incident that could be considered one of both good and bad fortune had occurred, which finally unlocked the truth behind his existence.
It was on that day that the world had begun to change, and Xia Ye began to rise under his new title, 'The Monkey King.'

I just see it as a different yun che tbh, a different teacher with all the struggles and twists. I do appplaud the author for creating the story without always using the same villians as the og story. Sadly and in my personal opinion is just a what if yun che was not lustful and adventurous, with no tsundere loli but a male king of old

For the inheritor of Sun Wukong, the MC is a bit pathetic. The OPMC tag shouldn't be there. It started out good but around chapter 20 I dropped. Not my cup of tea.

Great great story, writing quality is really good, the MC has a good personality and feels like a real person. Powers / Legacy is strong but not too op. Its similar to how Jasmine had reached divine master with a star god legacy before age 12. Keep it up author cant wait for more chapters! Also ive been wondering, if youre having the MC participate in the blue wind tourney then what sect is he participating with? Cause all the 4 main ones dont have anything to do with staffs and its hard for the MC to join them since Frozen Cloud is all females, his relationship with Xiao and Burning Heaven is bad, and finally the heavenly sword region is pretty set on swords only so..
