An Unbridled Wind

Galen, the great city on the plains, was once a place of justice and light. Ruled by the King of Gales, who had mastered control of the plain's winds, it prospered, and people of all the nations flocked there for wisdom and refuge.

That's what they say, anyway. If it had ever truly been that way it wasn't that way anymore. Once clear air choked lungs with smoke. Injustice and debauchery of all sorts could be found around every corner. The elemental powers of the people were now strictly regulated, and those who used them without permission often disappeared without a trace. The winds which once protected mighty Galen now raged, bent on its destruction. What had happened?

Such questions were are above Weiren's paygrade. Determined to live a quiet life, Weiren worked a simple factory job and stayed out of trouble. When his brother Puren comes to him for help, however, Weiren makes a bold choice to reveal his own elemental power, the most hated of them all, wind, stepping far out of his comfort zone, changing his quiet life forever.
