The old world of Tharix is an enigmatic mess of secrets and magic, weaved together by only the most powerful through its long history.
This tale follows the curiously talented orphan Mikey. Despite his misleadingly humble beginning in the archipelago of Des Maron, Mikey has developed the uncanny skill known as 'Spell Weaving'. By merely witnessing magical talents, Mikey is capable of mimicking and developing his own spells and abilities from them.
With his 15th birthday rapidly approaching and the dawn of adulthood trailing behind it, Mikey plans to set out on a journey of self-discovery. Despite his upbringing, Mikey has had one question his entire life - only to recently find a new one to accompany it: What was this 'X' marked on the back of his hand? And why is it now glowing?

Wow, it's only been first chapter but it's GREAT! I didn't expect a lot when I came in to read this, but I was wonderfully surprised! the grammar is good and isn't obnoxious to read and I like what I'm reading! The story hasn't been explored yet because the first chapter is only a prologue I presume however the author is very clear with his/her descriptions and the way he/she is moving forward! good job and work hard, I can see that you've put effort into this and that effort hasn't failed you! I sincerely hope you learn, develop, and write well!
The Tale Of An Orphaned Mage So Far Is A Fascinating Dive Into A World Yet To Be Fleshed Out. The Concisely Written Prologue Is A Clear Example Of What A Beautiful Combination Of Passion For World-building, Intimate Character Interaction, And Storytelling Can Bring Out In Writing. The Author Truly Has A Talent That Is Anything But Ordinary And I For One Have A Deep Excitement To See Where Exactly Mikey Will Take Me Next On His Journey Weaving In And Out Of The Secrets And World Of Tharix.
Oh!! the book is awesome!!!! i see myself not able to wait any longer for the next chapter lol!!!! i really do love this book and hope the author updates more chapters.
I love how some stories are but good but underrated. the story was kind of unique and a little bit of bizarre but overall it was fun to read it. [img=update]

I'm loving the story so far. It's fun to read the small dialogues between characters, and I really like the style of writing. There are a few grammar and spelling mistakes here and there, but they don't affect the story at all. I can't wait for more updates! [img=recommend]
I can't say much for the story since it is only on chapter two but the quality is really nice. I hope he expands upon the world more in future chapters.

I am actually liking this story, it has a really good flow with a good balance between world info and conversations, and the situations in which the MC ends up, are splashed with a little extra humor. I think this is a really good start, curious to see how it goes! good luck author, pls keep updating this.
Really interesting first entry. the fantasy elements are really well done and im very excited to see where the mechanics of magic carry on and see how exactly the world itself continues to be fleshed out in the way that the synopsis seems to promise among the strongest of Tharix. Mikey is a really well done protagonist, I feel as though I can see through his eyes for now as he explores the world of tharix with us rather than explaining the world to us. overall top marks for a really well done prologue.

I absolutely LOVE this book, the writer posts new chapters every day and its so engaging! Everyday I can't wait for a new chapter to be released. The way he writes is captivating and descriptive.
Honestly, I typically prefer science fiction, manga, and like historical fiction above fantasy, but this is really good so far. The writing has me hooked into it in an interesting way and the people in the story look like they’re really thought out. Honestly can say it’s one of the best fantasy stories I’ve read on this app so far. So for whatever’s that’s worth, that’s the absolute truth. I hope the writer keeps going with chapters and stuff so I can tune in again later.
tharix: tale of an orphaned mage is a thriller of a fantasy novel so far. brilliant adventure and drama done by a well spoken and well written author. true literature & poetry in motion, top marks to you, really. especially in the overtaking of the ship and spirit, a true turn that was unique to this world and one that i can only find myself accepting here.

Huh. This might be the best first chapter I've read on this site so far. Only two or three grammar mistakes, the story is told well and in a way that makes sense, and the characters are fun. I enjoyed reading this chapter. As of now, this gets full marks from me. 5/5
