Synopsis
My skin bears reminders of yesterday. They are roadside markers of my trips and falls, remnants I intend to burn to ashes, place in an urn and bury somewhere.
People tell me to move on. Build a bridge. Get over it.
When you clench your teeth and forge ahead you convince yourself the mind can be a clean slate untainted by dark colors of past trauma.
You pretend that your skies will always be clear. A palette of gold and red, sunrise and sunset.
Yet in sunshine a dark shadow lingers behind us every step. Our shadow wilfully follows, keeps pace with every step.
I unclenched my teeth, ran my fingers along my scars. They whispered to me. I listened. I held hands with my shadow, now we walk together.
Some scars never heal but how else could I know the way forward?..
So, I claim this body, this mind, this life as my own. And while I wish to share this life in kindness, compassion and empathy with others, I will not hesitate to defend when threatened.

I never thought I would enjoy it until I read it. The plot is great. Grammar, well written. The pace is not too slow, nor too fast. The description is superb. Nice work author.
Absolute GEM of a story! Firstly, the writing quality was immaculate. There was no grammar errors, no spelling errors, no syntax errors, the way it was written was perfect. Not only that, the plot itself was fascinating and the Author does a great job in hooking you in from the first chapter. I can confidently say that if the Author updates regularly, this book will definitely blow up! Amazing Job Author and keep it up! Plus I hope you win the comp ^^
I really loved reading this book there's so much that I enjoyed & I love everything in this plot, a couple of mistakes but that can be fixed ,I really liked this book keep writing some more, and will continue to check on this book whenever I get time, will recommend it !!!
I can say that when I saw it for the first time, I started wondering what's different this time. Yet, as I perused through, I had to start over so as to grasp everything and form a world of my own in my head. In the end, I was satisfied that I had to leave this review. The book has potential and I see it taking us to the medieval eras.. I'll be waiting for the uodates.
