Synopsis
Evelyn had a normal happy life until the untimely death of her mother. Her loving father soon became an abusive drunk that would constantly beat her and her older brother Mason. After years of abuse one day Evelyn and Mason managed to escape the terror of their father, when Evelyn finally snapped and killed him.
Unfortunately, even though they escaped their rotten father, their lives came to a violent and early end at the hands of a cruel fate.
However, when Evelyn woke up after dying, she found herself in a dark damp place. And when she broke free from what confines her, she finds herself reborn as an owl.
Follow along as Evelyn lives her second life as an owl in a world of magic and mystery, as she aims to rise up and become the strongest. So, no one can ever dictate her fate again.
Warning: This novel is going to be very dark in places, especially the prologue. If you are faint of heart, I recommend you not read this novel.

steller work so far, i look forward to the daily chapter.all aspects of this book are great. no complaints. yes more chapters would be great but as it is its still perfect.
Right first things first: so far there are only 8 chapters out not counting the prologue, but from what I have seen so far, I am pretty impressed. The main character has plenty, and I mean PLENTY of room for character development and growth. The world seems intruiging, and from what (very little) I have seen of the magic system it seems… at least to have some thought put into it. There is no system, which is nice, but it also means the magic system is much harder to pull off. The plot so far seems interesting, but it could dramatically crash and burn as working in the mechanics of a softer power system, like there seems to be, can leave all kinds of plot holes. I am really excited for this book and hope it will be at least as good as the author’s other one, which I have been enjoying so far. Oh and Mr Author; if you do put 18+ content in there please make sure it is in a self contained chapter that doesnt affect the story? Thanks
this book is really enjoyable. the start is dark but it feels that the MC is starting to have some good luck in the world. MC is clever and strong but not overpowered and it's just trying to live life. enjoyable book worth the read!
Overall: A solid 4* But I can say one thing for sure: The MC is quite dumb. I am a logical person and find myself very often frustrated reading about how the MC is reacting or how she does certain things. Another thing I find kind of annoying are the small but plenty written mistakes. The best example is instead of "tried", the author is ALWAYS writing "tired". I think it could be auto correction from a third party software, but this just shows the Author is not even reading her/his own work after writing. Not even once. It has a lot of slice of life, the description of the world is colourful, but the MC is doing a lot of things without any brain. You will stumble upon a lot of plot armor therefore. But: I just hope Author-san improves more and at least reads his own written work at least once for getting rid of all those small but sad grammar mistakes :)

This story reminds me of 'Reincarnated as a fox with a system' written by godadi thought with an owl and a different story.
I like how you didnnt make her Op and made it so she had her diffi culties
Have to say, story could be better, but author has so many mistakes, often using the wrong words, which is very annoying, some readers even pointed some mistakes out, but author just ignores it. Is it so hard to proof read? Story is okay, but nothing which truly captures me, wish I hadnt unlocked all chapters, a waste of my coins. The story has truly good moments, but overall I wouldnt recommend it
I've really enjoyed reading this story over the last few months. I'm currently at chapter 55 and I'm interested to see where it goes from here! Mc has a hard start, which I think makes for some interesting character development!
This is so incredibly well written! One of the best webnovels I have read so far, unique and innovative enough to never get boring. The author seems to have some crazy mind powers since everytime I start to lose a bit of interest, the next chapter the author pulls me back in with new developments, locations, characters or another breath of fresh air. The mc and the worldbuilding are awesome and you know there is still much more to discover and learn. This story is very dark in the beginning but as far as i have read it lessens, tho is never forgotten. The immersion in this story is there without a question and I enjoy reading so much. Also my personal tastes are met, female mc without romance (yuri would be fine too) + dark story elements and I am happy. But do it so well and more, you got me exited! You may have noticed I am a bit of a fan :) So if you would give a more dark story with a huge flashed out world to dive into a try, this is except for the occasional typos published book quality. I really hope the author sticks to it and grants us more chapters!
Great book so far, the prologue was a bit dark but it fitted really wel in the story and it explained a lot about the actions of the protagonist. Some part of the story took a bit of inspration of other books but you did it in a way that it fits in your story and not just copy pasted it and that was well done. I look forward to the direction that will take this book in. The only sad part is dat I couldn’t read it completely in the 24 hours that is was free.
This book is a gem! Instantly became one of my favorite books on this app and maybe even if all time! The characters are engaging, the setting is interesting, and the plot is phenomenal.
I liked the story pretty much. The mc development is actually quite good. I lowkey like how the story is advancing. Although there is always room for improvement
Trully stellar work, Higly recomended to read. Only one problem and that is that the world looks like cultivation world and use of empiral measurement system
Everything is amazing, the writing is realistic and allows a reader to follow the MC's train of thought. The characters also react in mannerisms that are also realistic, hunting prey, safe areas vs not ready to go there, holding grudges for fitting acts, a realistic form of PTSD, the MC isn't full of main character syndrome, bartering in shops. The stability of updates is absolutely consistent, there is almost always 1, sometimes 2, chapters a day, the releases are enough that I can always come back at least once a day to read more about my favorite owls. The story development is smooth and flows from each area to the next in a way that helps understand the transitions from 1 arc to the next, an example being from hatchling to the ruins. (Keeping vague so as to avoid spoilers.) Character design is peak quality in that the history constantly shapes how the characters react, and when parts are shared, with others, the reactions from others are reasonable and make even some background characters feel more 3 dimensional. As for world background, it's slowly expanding in much the same way our main owl discovers new things, every new discovery makes me happier as I see her explore more and see more things. Overall 11/10 Gimmie more owl.
this book is darker than the authors other work but it's still written equally as well. the characters feel real, with real motivations. please read because it is an excellent book 400 chapters in
