The synopsis sucks but the story is pretty good, if you don't read your definitely missing out, haha suckers.

While I have watched One Piece, I practically skipped the first 400 eps and it's been around a year, so cut me some slack if I make mistakes.
I will try my best to put down the correct information but when I make mistakes, I am open to constructive criticism!

Quite a good take on the overall story line of one piece .........it's good that the author is not starting from the cannon story line a d designing a world background of his own for the start......Still waiting on further chapters to truly see how it goes but till now(ch 15) it's very good, the writing quality is good and so is the grammar

This is just wonderful so far realistic interactions, a interesting df, but most of all this is a one piece fanfic I have been looking for a good one piece fanfic for ages and this delivers with all the necessary things. I wish you good luck on the journey through this novel and hope you don't drop it like your tensura fanfic.
You can just create a reason for him to become weaker - no haki and devil fruit because he needs to recover. After recovery (at the end of the series) you can just make him the strongest, because this recovering process can also be counted as training (the precise control of his devil fruit and unlimited amount of haki, because it grew all the time he used it to recover). Also you can make him blind for real at that time (no observation haki) :) Who knows, maybe he is in the process of transformation, but no one with this devil fruit until now survived it. And the transformation gives him cancer everywhere all the time :ddd
