Hello everyone! I just wanted to write a thank you note here, as I know many people might not see it if I post it in a chapter. Although I suppose many people won't see if it is here either. (So if you see it, congrats! You've won hide and seek!) I just wanted to say thank you all for your support. Today The Legendary Janitor broke through 1000 collections, and I'm not quite sure how I feel about that. I originally started writing this novel with the hopes of reaching 100 collections, thinking that if that many people saw my story and thought it worth their time, it would be worth writing. Truly, it's a bit cliché to say, but I can't really believe that this has happened. I know that TLJ isn't exactly a typical story that finds traction on Webnovel. It's humor, it's slice of life, it's an overemphasis on world building and details that not everyone will appreciate. In many ways, even for me, it isn't a story that is ideal, but rather a story that I find fun to write and fun to explore. So it amazes me that it has gone this far, and so many people have joined Di Tou on his discovery of this world. Thank you. - Pen P.S. Also bonus chapters Friday(?) P.P.S. MISERY!I'm sorry this just hit wrong for me.I'm a blue collar worker in a dead end job, and I listen to web novel to escape that.This story is probably hilarious in China, but for me it's too much pain instead of slapstick.Fourth wall is constantly broken, taking the reader by the shoulder and complaining about kids today,the bad job market, how ridiculous a cultivation world is-- I'd say that it's a parody of the whole cultivation novel genre. The MC has endless bad luck after he is swept away from his mediocre life as a 20 year old to become a hopeless old man who's golden finger is to be a janitor in a cultivation academy, and level up from cleaning.That alone could have been enough or even epic. But as of 21 chapters in, it was too miserable for me to endure anymore.It's definitely meant to be tongue in cheek but it hit too close to home for me to enjoy.
Hello Author Pen, From the first few chapters that I have read I can say that it's a engaging story, esp with the start and how you introduced comedy side to a xianxia novel. I really like it and it's new. The writing is so well done it's very easy to understand and it's engaging.
The first few chapters that I've read was really engaging, I love the start of the book and the character design is awesome
I love the premise I just feel like he does way less janitorial work even though it makes him stronger faster then any method. I feel like it's a distraction when cultivation should be the distraction. Some interesting sparks that feel like they got smothered in the rest of the authors avalanche of ideas. I feel like if you focused a bit on a few less ideas we'd get some banger chapters.

This story has a very interesting narrative approach that allows the reader to delve into the life of Di Tou, a young man who considers his life boring and unremarkable. The writing is clear and effective, which makes it easy to immerse oneself in the story. The author's skill lies in his ability to take the reader through Di Tou's routine, making the story feel realistic and believable. A great job, it kept me entertained!
Hahaha man, its fresh for me with that old man bast*rd. But every chapter its to short. How much word it takes ? less than 1000 ? i think its better you make for more than 1000 word per chapter
The story is filled with unnecessary details that doesn’t help with the story progression.I read till 67th chapter but the story hasn’t moved much. My advice to author would be to trim the unnecessary fillers and streamline the story a bit.
The author has done a great work writing this novel. The chapters are good and engaging. One of the best novels!! Keep it up author!!!
It's a new concept to me. The old man who is going to crush the villains and become extra ordinary. I love it. I do think the chapters are a little too short but its an awesome read. Great job author.
If you want to read a more philosophical novel with cultivation in between, then you need to give this novel a shot. I'll be following to know more about the adventures of our legendary janitor :)
I like the plot, unlike most transmigration novels, this one start when the MC is at a disadvantage. I love the overall humor of the story, can't wait for more.
I like how you outlined your character in a design that would be relatable to your readers. Personally, I love a main character that could make me feel something and that's what made me feel about him. Moreover, as I read through the novel, it was very easy to read, resembling a feel-good novel, the type that would give the readers a sense of relief and belonging, I guess? I've read until chapter 2. Until now, I'm very intrigued at how he will carry out his life in this new world, not to mention, as a janitor. However, some sentences seem off-putting in terms of tenses. I suggest you be consistent with this one as this may distract your readers' attention in the novel. Regardless, to me, they aren't worth mentioning compared to the novel's premise itself. But still, work on them if you want to improve your writing skills further. Overall, it's very interesting. I have already added this to my library and will read this in my free time! Good job, author! :)))
This book is absolutely hilarious. I was cracking up on the first few chapters, the premise is quite unique as well, plenty of potential. The writing quality is quite high, very few grammatical mistake and a solid vocabulary. Definitely one to watch for the future!

Really interesting plot! If you like cultivation novels this is the one for you! It's engaging, creative and the author does a great job. I especially loved the bonus chapters and the fact that the author goes above and beyond to publish more chapters after hitting milestones.
