Synopsis
Alexis Lycan is the sole heir of the once prominent and affluential Lycan Dukedom, a key founding family of the Dragonair Empire. However, a recent string of incompetent rulers and corrupt officials have led the Lycans to be but a shell of its former self. Now abandoned by his parents and shackled to debts racked up by his ancestors, Alexis now struggles to feed himself let alone his few loyal vassals that have stayed by his side.
Unbeknownst to anyone but his two closest allies, a dark power has recently manifested itself inside Alexis. This shadowy power may reverse the misfortunes of the young Lord Lycan or lead him to become power hungry and corrupt like his forbearers.

Alexis is a well developed character that the reader cannot help but admire for his nobility and for helping his people. Loving the build up to what I think will be an epic final battle.
I am sorry for the description 🤣🤣 This book is very raw, and shows a personality like a solid piece of ice. I think that its practically emotionless, but not in a "I don't feel emotion' type of way. It much more like a mask, and the idea hurts my soul. Its a tradegy that this is how these charscters end up. it makes me want more. Good novel so far!
The setup of this story is spectacular, leaving room for the reader to enjoy the protagonist, Alexis, growth. The author takes their time in setting up the characters and situations they find themselves in. Some of the writing could be revised for increased clarity but overall the author expresses the characters' emotions really well.
The human tragedy has been at the heart of many novels. This novel is raw and speaks to us from the heart, the very core of human existence. We have all been there at some point in our life, the existential crisis, the questioning, the rigsmarole. There is a bit of all of us in Alexis Lycan and his predicament soon becomes ours.
I like this one after ch 1 I started thinking how MC will become strong because I didn't see any magic or other power in ch 1 after continuing there comes black clad women who gives him power. It just hooks me to read further chapters. Impressive is the plot, background, characters. Awaiting for updates.
So far I only read few chapters and i am invested in the story line. The mc at the start seemed little bland but as the chapter progressed we begin to know him more. I don’t mind reading it further but author please delete commas in some sentences.
This is a really good novel, the idea behind the plot is great and I really like the MC Alexis. The world building so far has been well written as well. The novel has great potential.
Shameless author review!This is the first novel that i have written so it may be a little amateurish. This novel will follow Alexis' journey from being a no name noble to someone who will hopefully sit upon the Empire's throne. I hope you enjoy it!
