Synopsis

In a world where superhumans and villains clash with epic regularity, a secret organization exists, hidden in the shadows, known only as the Villain Support Agency (VSA).
Enter the Villain Support Agency, a clandestine organization that offers guidance, training, and resources to aspiring supervillains. Led by the enigmatic council, the agency is a melting pot of diverse and unconventional individuals with extraordinary abilities, all united by their shared desire to challenge the status quo.
Frustrated with the seemingly untouchable heroes and their self-righteousness, the protagonist of the story, Carl, joined the agency as a handler, a person that helps the villains out and does his best to do what is best for them.
As Carl becomes acquainted with this new underworld, he encounters many characters, each with their own motivations and ambitions. From the mischievous trickster to the mastermind strategist, Carl learns that villains are not just one-dimensional evildoers but complex individuals driven by their own desires and dreams.
One faithful day, Carl gains an opportunity to not only become better at his job and rise through the ranks of the organization quickly, but to become much more than a simple 'handler'.

I really like a lot of parts of this novel but the system makes it hard for me to really enjoy it. I personally tend to find sentient systems as a downside in novels. I know I have seen many other readers in different novels say simular things. The system in this novel is one of my least favorite types as it is sentient, extremely snarky, and speaks like a person. Besides being annoying some of the dialogue doesn’t make much sense coming from a system. This could have plot reasons that aren’t revealed. Overal the character of a tbis system isn’t a character I would want to read mucb about and since it is a system that is always with the protagonist it shows up a lot. I also usually don’t like it where their are quests that can’t be rejected but have severe punishments. It always just makes the MC seem like a slave to the system, and takes away a lot of their autonomy. With the system being snarky and sentient this effect is mangnified. All of this so far is negatives but for the rest of this novel their are a lot of positives. I really enjoyed the setting of the novel and the general idea. I think being a “handler” in anyway is really rare in novels. Even long term partnerships tend to be. So a novel that focuses on that is a new and unique read for me. I feel like the author has done well with it so far and I really enjoy the villains that are shown so far. The Mc is also very interesting with his background and motivation. It’ also nice to see as actual villain MCs are rare. Overal for me this would likely be a 5 star novel with a automated system with rejectable quests. As is it is still an interesting novel that can be enjoyable. Thanks for your work author.

Author's shameless 5-star review! Hey guys, so this is the third novel I am publishing here on webnovel, and well, it's quite different compared to my previous two. It's going to be quite lighthearted and will mostly be a comedy, with some serious arcs placed between that. I do plan on updating it regularly and yeah, hope you all like it!

So far, so good. Just like the other novels of the author, I like it. It's an enjoyable read, the writing is well, the worldbuilding and characters are well written and created, they are, however, different compared to the author's other works. Modern times, superpowers, and the main character is not the one that goes to fight constantly, but is a handler that helps out villains, which is quite honestly a bit refreshing and quite enjoyable. Keep up the good work author, can't wait to see where this one goes!

I've been reading this for quite some time and I have to say I, I'm enjoying it so far. It's different compared to most novels, and honestly, I have no idea how the story will progress but it's a fun read and I do recommend it

Well, I just caught up with the novel, and yeah, the change of the POV in my opinion definitely helped out, I liked it even when it was in the first person, but the third person just flows better tbh. The characters are well made, the banter might not be the best, I do like some parts, some not that much, but it's not enough to make me stop reading it. So far so good author, keep it up! :D

So I have been on the fence about this novel even though I read all the chapters, until mere minutes ago when the author said he will probably be changing the novel to the third person, and chap 34 is completely in the third person, which I do prefer to be honest. So far, the story and everything is good, and if you have a problem with the first person POV, just power through it because it will go to the third person starting chap 34. I definitely recommend it to people who like villains and novels about them

I have to say that I have never really read a novel like this, instead of being the one who is right in the midst of the action and fighting, the Mc is helping out those that do so.32 chaos in, and I am hooked, looking forward to more!

I like it so far. The story is moving in a decent pace, the characters are good, the comedy is quite alright. I've not read a lot of novels that are written in the first person, but I have to say, this one is growing on me so far. Keep up the good work author!

Another novel from TheReign, and another collection from me. This one is quite different from his other novels, but it's intriguing and so far I do like it

I've been reading this the last two days ( didn't have time to read all the first day ) and gotta say I do like it. The characters are funny, there is some overarching story and goal, but it's not given completely so far and most of the story is a comedic one, with some r-rated stuff there as well. As long as the story progresses normally and doesn't stale or go quickly, I do believe it will be quite a good novel later on, good luck to the author!

Alright so the setting of the world is the usual hero vs villain world with superpowers, but here, there also exist, or at least existed ( the author has stated that they have all been attacked and destroyed ) sects that seemingly had the cultivation powers. Heroes and villains get powers which they can even improve, and the two agencies that deal with heroes and villains help them out, probably also by giving them those manuals that those ancients sects had? Don't know for sure, but it was mentioned more than once that the handler of the VSA get training like that when they reach a high enough rank, so the villains probably get some help too. Anyway, I do like the story, the first person that it is written in is a bit weird to be honest, but still passable for me who is used to the 3rd person. Characters so far are good, even though there is only 26 chaps so far, so we don't really know any character in depth, except for Carl, the mc, of course. Comedy can be a bit childish at times, but I don't mind such comedy tbh so I don't mind it, some of it I do enjoy. The world building so far is quite weak, but again, only 26 chaps, so that might come later, which is a bit different compared to the other two stories of the author where the world building starts right away. All in all, I do like it, and I do believe it deserves a good review for now, will change it if the story gets worse or better.

I honestly like the novel so far. It's funny, it does appeal to my sense of humor, but it might not be for all to be honest. Of course, it's not only the humor that is what I like here as there are other parts I like. The world, although not fully explained, is well so far, the way the story is written keeps me engaged and the characters so far are interesting.

Although the novel is relatively short be now, I do like the other works from the others, and this one is no different. If any of you are coming from RBS or ITRAG, the previous two novels of the author, this one is very different. It's written in the first person, which did catch me off guard since you don't see many of such novels, but I do love the fact that we can see just how deranged Carl is, as well as how the interaction between him and the system occurs. Keeping an eye on this one, liking it so far.

I'm loving the novel so far. Carl is a psycho, that much can be seen, but at least we have a reason as to why he is what he is. The banter he has with the system cracks me up tbh and I do love the other characters, especially Blorg!!
