Synopsis
Tapiwa once had a tremendous dream, in a society where males were superior to women, women had few rights or voices, and in a world where magic and skills were superior to all else.
Her dream was to marry a gorgeous, faithful, and caring husband and become the only mistress of the house, leaving her natal family, where she lived under pressure and in the shadows of her siblings.
Growing up in a world where polygamy was common and siblings turned on one another.
Tapiwa just wanted a place to live and to be in a monogamous relationship in a world where magic was present and sibling rivalry was fatal, especially because only a few could become mages.
What she thought was the perfect beginning to a lovely dream became a nightmare that tormented her for a decade. Tapiwa divorced her spouse and fled to an unknown location where her relatives and friends could not find her.
Tapiwa thought she had no reason to live in this world anymore, but that changed when she saved an old lady, who endowed her with heavenly graces, giving her power and a second chance at life.
Tapiwa, armed with this divine blessing, decided to perform the impossible in a world where women were nothing more than child bearers.
She was going to do everything she could with what she now had to empower women and establish a better future, not just for herself, but also for the women who didn't have a voice.
She was going to fight for all women, mages and not, to make sure their voices were heard, they were seen, and, most importantly, they were treated like the queens they were born to be.
She was going to fight for supremacy against all obstacles, and nothing or no one was going to stop her.

A great story with the female lead taking charge. One would rarely see such a set up in magic and fantasy novels. The backdrop of the story, character development, story progression and the regular updates are a plus to the story. Can't wait for more and more updates daily.
The story touches on themes, the pursuit of one's dreams, and the ability to find strength even in the face of adversity. It also emphasizes the importance of unity and solidarity among women in the quest for a fairer world. Its pretty good!
Against all odds is a brilliant take on the gender equity struggle. The story is beautifully told with good diction, excellent grammar and adequate punctuation. It is yet another outstanding piece by an authoress with a proven track record for producing outstanding works. Having read chapter 1, I was impressed by the flawless engaging language. The descriptive attention to detail which makes reading Against all odds a pleasure. Well done Geegee.
I find it sureal that in 2024 women have this kind of fantasy. I feel that I don't live in the same world. For me the reality is dominated by women.

I usually prefer romance genre hence I was a little skeptical to start but seemes this was a good choice. Author has done amazing job in creating a strong FL who is now ready to stomp the cruel world beneath her. Good luck to you and your book author!🤗❤

I find Tapiwa to be quite interesting as our protagonist. We are given reasons why we should support her very early, and I can confidently say that I liked her by the first chapter already. It is also quite fulfilling to see the prospect of her reward for her sacrifice and good nature. I haven't read that far yet, but this story is already promising!
The impact of the first chapter is really strong. It was very minimal that it lacks many possible options that can be used to attract the readers attention using the first chapter. However the story, setting, and the characters introduced in the first chapter is very sympathizing that it catches the attention of the readers. Good job with that Author.
Talk about "author's purpose." This book clearly isn't just to entertain but to encourage, showing how this woman went against all odds as explained in the title, and is clearly written through the story. It's captivating. It just is.

The overall outlook of the plot is intriguing. I like the way the plots has been established. In this world where the Author has created, , it will be fun reading about how the female Lead will give all those who looked down on her for being a woman a huge slap in their faces. Good novel!
