Winds of Ruin

Born beneath cursed skies, a solitary boy raised within the ruins of a city once called home by many is cursed once more.

A curse the boy considered insidious beyond belief.

A curse that drowned the wealthy beneath piles of worthless gold and suffocated the poor beneath its merciless law.

The curse of hope.

A hope that would ignite the emptiness within him aflame with the vilest of dreams.

A dream for a place to call home.

But...

At that time the boy had yet to bear witness to the countless cruelties that would soon befall him as a result of the curse.

And the tragedies that would befall those who dared step into the world of the cursed child.

If he had, then perhaps...

Perhaps the boy may not have wielded the curse of hope.
