Well… we’ve officially made it to ten chapters! 🎉 So here’s me shamelessly giving the first review! 😂 Now, let me say this… If you’re looking for a weak main character who stays weak forever, cries every other chapter, or forgives everyone who hurts him, then this story probably isn’t for you. 😂 Ethan’s goal has never been to become a hero. He just wants to survive, live peacefully, eat good food, and stay as far away from trouble as possible. Unfortunately for him… trouble seems to have other plans. Also, If you’re looking for a Guideverse novel where the main character becomes overpowered in three chapters, then this probably isn’t for you. Ethan’s journey is one of growth. He starts from the absolute bottom as an F-rank Guide, gets looked down on by practically everyone, and has to claw his way up step by step. The story is in between fast paced and slow burn in terms of world-building, but I promise the real premise is much bigger than what you’ve seen so far. There are still plenty of secrets surrounding Ethan’s ability, the Guide system, the academy, the mysterious monster attack invasion rifts, and even some characters whose intentions aren’t as simple as they appear. As for the romance… let’s just say Ethan’s peaceful, straight no romance life is in serious danger. 😂 Whether you already have someone you’re rooting for or you’re waiting for another contender to appear, (Which of course they will) I hope you’ll enjoy the ride because I’ve prepared plenty of funny moments, tension, jealousy, and some delicious emotional pain along the way. I love writing sarcastic protagonists, so don’t expect Ethan to quietly accept being bullied. He complains, curses, fights back whenever he can, and sometimes accidentally makes his own life even more chaotic.
