Against All Odds | Secretly OP

Evan was called a genius, but was always living by a thread. However, one day his luck ran out.

After being reincarnated, now "Lucie", is a young boy living in a fantasy world, with a system. He also has a special ability that allows him to overcome difficult situations when he is in grave danger and pushed to the brink. Time freezes around him, and his brain's thinking speed increases beyond human level. But will this be enough to survive in this unfair world?

To Lucie, just abusing high stats wouldn't do. He planned to use everything he had to the fullest. What happens when a genius and a system meet?

The wolves snarled once more and lept.

To have died again so quickly... I felt the regret in my chest.
But I don't want to die.

I grit my teeth. Instead of backing out, I lept forward raising my sword.

The world began to slow down. I had no time to wonder what was happening. I watched as my vision slowly warped and went dark, before a flash of blue fixed light again.

Weaving in between the claws of two wolves midair, I sliced one through, then cut the legs of the third wolf behind the two. I saw all the possible pathways between the wolves and ran through them- something that I would never be able to do against the real agility of these wolves.

As I tried to run past the circle of hundreds of wolves, time gradually began to speed up again. I saw the heads turning as I ran, and seeing a Large Wolf at the end, with no time left, I put the 5 stat points I got into defense, and ran past him. The Large Wold began to use Charge, and I watched as time finally returned to normal speed. I threw myself at its head and curled into a ball.

As I was flying through the air I thought, 'This was definitely the best way to escape,' as my ribs heartily disagreed.
