Synopsis
Rebirth was not something that he had thought possible. Perhaps, he had had some vague hopes of reincarnation cycles as the more desirable option to afterlife. But being reborn in what he believed to be a fictional universe had only seemed as the premise of stories.
Waking up to a void of nothing, no light, no body, no feeling, and then being thrown into the midst of what had once seemed a mere fantasy— it was too much.
As an A.I., how much could he change? Could he save Tony? Could he save the world without his sacrifice? Or should he not do anything? What if his existence was the butterfly that would destroy the timeline, and with it, the universe?
Was this even a choice? Was he to play the villain? So the timeline could remain intact?
Could he even do that?
"You doing ok, kid?" Tony asked him.
"I'm fine, Tony, really."
No, no, he couldn't.

Disclaimer: The MCU universe and its characters do not belong to me. I only enjoy playing in this world once in a while.

A/N: Dear readers, here are some things to note or warn about this story:
1. Action, drama, fluff, angst, and family feels - no sex scenes, focus is on the narrative.
2. MC is not a pure Self-Insert, but an OC inserted into an MCU character.
3. MC starts with the android body of a kid. A kid! Wait 100,000 words before even thinking about a relationship, ok? He is an AI and switched later, but this is the situation at the beginning of this story.
4. MC is bi. Relationships with both men and women will happen (in the very far future). Not explicit. Only subplot. Sub. Plot. Romance is in the very back backstage here.
5. Not Harem. Dear god, just no.
6. There will be violence, some gore, trauma, and coarse language.
7. No bashing! Of any characters. But... I am obviously on Team Iron Man, dear readers! And I will punch logic into Steve's head if I have to!
8. I will stick with the MCU movies. Until it naturally devolves into an AU. That means movies post-Endgame and any and all TV shows, or even the X-men verse, are all not considered canon for this fic, and as such, do not exist. Stan Lee's cute cameo appearances are also not considered canon. Some small comics' elements might be there, though. Other changes are just me.
9. Updates are once weekly, on weekend nights. Each chapter will be somewhere around 1000-2000 words.
10. There is an age change for the Maximoff twins. By the Age of Ultron movie, they are 16 years old for this fic. The reasons for that are explained in the spoiler note at the end note of the first chapter.
11. Thank you for reading and enjoy yourself!

Write a reviewGood, saw it in fanfiction.net, ao3 and now here, easily a 5 stars..........................................................................
I binged the story. Loved it. Cant wait for more. I binged the story. Loved it. Cant wait for more.......... ...... Just kill wanda A walking time bomb.
Well, this is the first time that I find a work so well done ... but hey I will continue to qualify with the standards of a fan fiction: Writing Quaility: objectively I cannot judge this section since I use a translator, although I am still impressed that it is one of the few works with which I have found a more complete and elegant vocabulary, in addition to such polished writing and narration, from this I can say that the author has the skills of a writer of books from some good publishing houses. Stability of uptades: I think it is more or less a weekly chapter, if it were a common fan fic the publication rate would be poor, but counting the quality and length of the chapters it seems to me more than good. Story Development: With only one arc, it has shown to have a good construction of the story in general plans, it seems quite good from many points of view, in addition to playing with the POVs and changing the story to your liking but without going over the lines of the work, although it has some details that screech, such as the fact that several characters think things that they did not think before, for example in the case of the Maximoff brothers, some members of the Avengers saw them as boys who were lost in life, even after working with a Terrorist cell and helping Utron, but then Ultron meets them again and out of nowhere almost all the Avengers begin to suspect the Maximoffs, it also happens with the case of Ultron, Stark is understood That he is not psychologically well and that he suddenly changes his mind, but the author I think that he used that resource a lot without leading to many things, he left matters unfinished or left them in the air, Ulton calling Stark father, Ultron's speech to Friday of what he truly is, I have even Pepper's talks that go nowhere things that would be very good plots but leaves them in the air. But in general terms, he plays with something that few authors do, he talks about philosophical and psychological issues, he plays with AI and the limit between machine and human, few fanfiction authors have gotten into these issues as well as this one, which gives a fresh air. to the topics that are usually touched on in Marvel fan fics. Character Design: Here the author shines and for a long time, as I said, one of the topics he touches is psychology, because thanks to that he gets to touch layers of some characters in a sublime way in addition to not being afraid of getting into the minds of the characters And to elaborate, where do you see this is the AIs, Ultron is extremely well done, although he still has problems, since it is not known how he really is, is he the first Ultron child who adopted Stark characteristics? Or is it the mature Ultron who was seeking peace and introspection, with fear and hatred of being handled? Well, it is never clarified in the first arc, obviously I know that Ultron during that time Ultron is being influenced by the stone but it does not remove the fact that Ultron's changes are so abrupt and picturesque that you do not know that Ultron was an act or what really it is. The fact that these changes happen seems very good to me, it is one of the few times that I see such an introspective and well done character, psychologically speaking, but the author treats some of these issues above and leaves them in the air. But by far it is one of the works that has best handled his characters. World Background: The world where things happen is quite well done, the things that happen in the work have palpable consequences in the world, this is already quite solid, also it is not locked in the United States, but it explores other countries and borders not leaving the Avengers to a single national event without influence in other countries, the first arc has not yet finished and consequently all the consequences that Ultron has caused have not yet been seen, but there have already been flashes that the author does not leave these things called "consequences" forget
The Ultron AI is just crazy. his 10 year old Astro Boy whipping with stark thing was probs the only thing worth reading in this book. so don't get your hopes up
Sincerely the vote should speak by itself, but I'll say some words. The author actually nails what I believe are the characters, also managing the divide them and giving them separated personalities. The world is well structurated and u kinda see the repercussions that are caused by heroes and mc (and others) 's actions, i still don't understand the mc plan, maybe i need to wait for more plot, overall it's a full, 5/5
Its very heartwarming. The author has invested big time in emotional developement that can make you cry.Heavily-inveested Waiting to read more.Only 1 arc is complete and still we are longing for more.
Not only is the Story interesting, but I have not seen many authors that can skillfully represent a descent into insanity-much less to the level that he does in this. Truly a wonderful read
This is one of the best marvel fanfics ive read i couldnt put it down. if only there was more chapters Huge spoiler: I really hope you get him coming back right with him being reincarnated and everything you could easily mess up also if he loses all of his memories when he comes back bc he technically was ultron please clarify. Keep up the good work 👍
Reveal Spoilervery good, continue more, I hope that the MC gets a "human" body like the vision but also leaves machine versions just like the ultron because it’s really cool those ultron robots, of the avengers villains the ultron is my favorite even if the second avengers movie has been worse compared to others
This story made me cry actual tears, if you like marvel as a setting, and you enjoy quality writing you'll like this....................................
Very good very good very good very good very good very good very good very good very good very good very good very good 👽 👽 👽 👽 👽 👽 👽 👽 👽
Just a suggestion you should stop this book here like a good movie stops leaving many unanswered questions on a cliffhanger. But I also want so many questions answered so I don't know if I should suggest it or not. But the "Hello Anthony" seems so... good an ending to such a good book that I couldn't not post this.
Ok first of all, great job author-san, now my review 1. The portrayal or execution of how a human mind suddenly found itself fused with an A.I. corrupted by an infinity stone controlled by someone else, well.......amazing. 2. The different pov's their character portrayals....amazing 3. Amazing plot line and great mind.
Reveal Spoileryo, this is a flipping masterpiece!!! I love it, I dealt the depth of the new Ultron and felt like I was reading a Canon alternate universe. the emotion was on point and so we're their descriptions. I love how you portrayed the avengers too, not too smart that they outplay the mc continually but just enough to ride on his coat tails. please don't drop or I'll cry🥺
Truly one of the few stories to make me cry multiple times. Theres some aspects that are a but choppy and hard to follow, but the twists are great and I cant wait to see more of this story unfold. Keep up the great work, I rooting for this story!
Better than actual marvel. Characters feel more alive than in the original. The MC is Altron btw, and storytelling is great so far. Let me click post already you piece of garbage!
I havw read complete arc 1. Initially I didn't like those poem/songs in between the lines but I started liking them later. 2nd last chapter of arc 1 almost made me cry. This is not your everyday power fantasy fanfic, this is far ... far better. Read it at your own pace, don't skip anything, even the poem/songs. Can't wait for ARC 2 :)

Hello dear readers! This is a shameless self-review. Couldn't resist the temptation. On the story: Age of Charon presents the journey of a young man from our world who suddenly died in a shooting, as he wakes up amidst silence and code. Soon, he finds himself under the threat and control of the powerful Mind Stone. Left with little choice between dying and become the puppet of a corrupted gem, he makes plans upon plans to free himself, meanwhile trying to not end as Ultron did, dead at the hand of the Avengers. Follow his story, as he realizes the reality of his new existence. He is no longer the person who he once was. But who will he choose to become? On the reading quality: Very good. I am fixated on nice grammar and good syntax. If you do find any mistakes, tell me. I will fix them immediately. However, there may be a mix between British, American and Maltese English in some words and spellings, like a few more 'u's; and 'c's instead of 's's. On updates: Regular, once per week, over the weekend.
