A war broke out that killed the major protagonist, Tatin. The Fire-bringers held a decent burial for the hero of the wolf-dom. After he died, the war continued and there were major movements in the earth's surface such as earthquakes, floods, fires, and plagues. Marilyn woke up one day to find that she was alone in the house that Matthias left. Andrea and Lobo were clearly two of the survivors among the Fire-bringers. Inauspiciously, the contrarians, Jezebel, Bella, and Umberto had also survived--first resurfacing in the new timeline without recognition of the past, but travelling to the old world, they had the same ambitious desire to grab power and wealth by finishing Andrea and Lobo and his family. Meanwhile, Apollo 2, Hugh, Julius, and Matthias got trapped in the Rainbow Kingdom. Isabella, Josh, Jan, and Fr. Robert knew that they had to close the portal to the past and so found themselves back in the old mansion to aid the Fire-bringers.
