Synopsis
*An Arknights Fanfic*
“Doktah!”
“Doktah, wake up!” Amiya shouted as she managed to pry open the cryogenic sink.
Xiv got out of that bloody cold tub with a rude awakening. Memories that started to flow in were clearly not synchronised with his body, but at the same time, they felt so vaguely familiar.
“Wait... Am I in my brother’s body?” Xiv thought to himself when he saw an obvious birthmark that only his brother had. Now he found the battered body being pulled out by Amiya, one of Rhode Island’s core operators. However, with what limited time they had when the operators pulled him out of the cryogenic sink, they could only assume that he lost his memories from abrupt awakening.
But he did not lose any of his original memories.
The last thing Xiv remembered was pushing his blade into the heart of his younger twin brother, Dr Ziv, the one and only infamous doctor of Rhodes Island. Only later did the Red Avenger realised that he got caught in Mostima’s forbidden arts as a last ditch effort to kill him before she succumbed to her wounds.
In short, Xiv absolutely had no idea what had happened to him, but one thing was for sure. He was now on the other spectrum of the battle, and the only thing he could do was to survive.
And in order to do that, he had to command.

I only found this out because I was looking for a certain other novel a certain author created. Considering there's only one chapter, we really can't review it as it does no justice on future chapter (if any that is), but review it I shall because of the story's description of the supposed plot. Apparently Xiv, the main character is the older twin brother of the main character, The Doctor of Rhodes Island, who he kills for some reason we don't know yet. The twist? Not only he goes back in time, but now in his brother's body and apparently has to lead Rhodes Island to victory. ...Considering what we now know of Arknights...this is just possibly a tragic distaster (which is oddly fitting considering the setting of the game) of a fanfic in several ways if we don't consider it as a vastly alternate reality of Arknights or even a original work based on it...which I'm sure the hardcore fans will bash at anyways. Do not read ahead because it's spoiler time! We know the Doctor's famous due to his past as (one of) Babel's Leaders and Tactician. Amiya (who apparently considers the Doctor as her most important person and is implied to be the Doctor's main patient) and Kal'tsit (who worked with him in Babel and the two do not trust each other pre-amnesia) would at least know the doctor's face so unless the two weren't identical twins or the Doctor managed to hide the fact that he has a twin, they would persuade (Amiya) or capture (Kal'stit) Xiv before Reunion would try and create a 'puppet Doctor' to increase morale and terrify the nations of his single minded focus on victory without any concern about casualties. As for Xiv himself...all we know is that he apparently hates his brother enough to actually kill him as read by the description of this fanfic. A bit of conflict on why in my mind. Was it neglect? Medical abuse? Kill someone he loved through sacrificial tactics? Had worked with his brother as the muscle and became disgusted by how his brother became? Ouch, now I just remembered W and her beef with the Doctor. Now it becomes a 'What if?' now! While the Doctor in the past may have been the one responsible for the death of a certain person, was he the one who pulled the trigger or was it Xiv that did so? (It could also be the reason for said hatred as well between the brothers.) If Xiv ever shows guilt about it, W WILL kill him. And now is the thought of what happened to the Doctor himself? Is he truly dead? Are they sharing bodies? Or is the Doctor now in Xiv's body? To further cause complications, is The Doctor thinking of this as a dying dream of 'what if' he joined Reunion? Would he lead it to victory or as a possible fix-it for people like Frostnova? Phew, too much to think about and a good reason why I myself stopped trying to write a fanfic...also a reason why I would tip my hat in respect for this authors original works. That said, I probably raised the bar if another chapter ever comes out for expectations to this story.

Hi, this is the Author Moloxiv here! I am giving myself a balance score because I know that my writing quality is mediocre compared to many good writers out there and the stability of updates might be average or even below average because this is a side project. However, I really adored Arknights and this is one of the ways to show my love to it. As an experienced writer, I believe I can do justice to the characters in this video game based on the relative success of my contracted book. Plot wise, I would be some of the stories and the locations within the game as well as my very own made up stuff. I will try my best to keep character interactions close to the game's but this is after all a fanfic. Do not judge me so badly if I deviated away from it. (But Texas X Lapp is a must.) Lore wise, as usual, I will try to keep true but does not mean I would not create my very own. Characters wise, I WANT TO FEATURE ALL OF THEM. EVEN castle-3 ! so be sure to stay tune to them. All in all, please give a decent reviews and if you have any comments or wishes that you want to see in the fan fic, do not hesitate to post. I might take it into account. Other than that, Panda out!
