Hey guys, author here. Shamelessly giving myself five-stars! I had the idea of writing about the world I've described here for a long time. Intially this was just going to be a novel that has no bearing with the modern world. I'd planned to write this as a fantasy novel and have several 'main characters'. They all would have their own stories and I would have brought all/some of them together, as friends or foes, as the story progressed. However, Webnovel was responsible for getting me addicted to reincarnation novels with the MC getting a system. This addiction was further reinforced by tons of LitRPG/Gamelit novels. The end result was that I convinced myself to combine the world I built with a concept I was in love with. There will be a lot of cliches, familiar tropes, convenient plot armour assisting the MC at crucial stages. But I'll still try not to venture into the realm of nonsensical logic and lazy writing just to fill up wordcount. In short I'll try to avoid the common mistakes and traps authors of this genre fall into, quite often. The main motivation of the MC is to revert a horrible outcome that befell his family. His drive is vengeance. However, that doesn't mean he will abstain from making friends, falling in love, rejoicing happy moments, mourning tragic ones. He won't be a stoic broody McBrood. Neither will he be an emotionally deranged psychopath carving a bloody path to his goal. He is not morally corrupt, but he is not a saint either. He is just a normal guy in an abnormal situation. While this fact might change various things about him over time, he will never lose his true identity. Last and most important point: I am writing this novel as a pure passion project. I'll update the chapters at my own pace. I have no intention of earning money through this novel at this stage, not for a long time. If I ever acquire a reader base that looks forward to updates I'll make sure to take into consideration all their feedback, positive or negative. The novel right now, is in its infancy. I have hopes that it'll grow into something gigantic and fantastic over time. Happy reading!
